FLOURLESS PEANUT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

1 cup super chunky peanut butter
1 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips (about 6 ounces)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix first 5 ingredients in medium bowl. Mix in chocolate chips. Using moistened hands, form generous 1 tablespoon dough for each cookie into ball. Arrange on 2 ungreased baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake cookies until puffed, golden on bottom and still soft to touch in center, about 12 minutes. Cool on sheets 5 minutes. Transfer to racks; cool completely.

Makes about 24 cookies.

I've seen flourless peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips, and a flourless chocolate cake...but not flourless chocolate chip cookies. You have to have something to bind the ingredients together. In peanut butter cookies, the peanut butter will bind -- but there is nothing in chocolate chip cookies to bind...but the flour!

Good luck in your search!

I have never heard of flourless chocolate chip cookies. The flour is the main ingredient besides chocolate chips. The flour is what makes the dough more solid. If there is no flour you have a soupy mess.

Easiest way to make any cake or cookie recipes floor-less is to replace the amount of flour whether it is using plain or self rising flour with finely grounded almond. The recipe will not be compromise because almond is a very neutral agent when used in baking.
