I was most disapointed when I tried it the first time I visited the U.S.A. it tastes like Germolene cream!

If everyone here was as old as me, they would remember
going with their date to the A & W. stand and getting frozen
mugs overflowing with frothy home made root beer!!! WOW
Top that off with a REAL hamburger (meaning real prime
beef) a huge slice of tomatoe and onion and lettuce and
secret sauce, on a 6" toasted bun....Served by a pretty girl
in a short-skirted A&W uniform and on skates. Ah, I miss
those daze!!!

I'm from England, and I remember going to McDonald's years ago ordering a coke, but they gave me root beer instead, so I took it back, and they give me this massive cup of coke. The cup was that big, i don't even think you can order drinks that size. No, cant say I'm a fan of Root Beer :-( xx

I loove root beer too, don't know why I'm not American or British so didn't acquire the taste. Maybe becos Snoopy drinks it!

Oh I'm sorry that your first experience with an "American soda" wasn't that pleasant. To be honest with you...I don't like root beer either. I don't know why there's just something about it that kind of makes my stomach turn. And I've lived in America my whole life. So I'm with you on that one.

Some like it and some don't. And like non-root beer, there are many many different kinds and qualities. Personally, I'm more of a creamy style root beer person.

yes i like root beer. it tastes good, and it is famous in america for root beer floats. (rootbeer on ice cream)

No I don't like it. I bought a bottle thinking it somewhere related to beer but it was not acceptable. Nothing to beat real beer.

that takes me back,i used to drink root beer from mcdonalds years ago,it tasted gorgeous,the best drink ever.i'm from staffordshire in the UK and was gutted when mac d's stopped selling it,yum!
