Several years ago, I used to buy a drink that I can't remember the name of. They were sold in square 4-pack boxes, and it seems they were rather small bottle (less than 20 oz.) I always bought cream soda, but they had other flavors, although I don't remember just a regular cola flavor. It seems like the name was kinda long, like maybe Downtown (something) Soda Company, but it may not have been 'downtown'. It seems like the names rhymed, maybe uptown crown or something, but not that. They were sold in grocery stores in the soda section, but I do belive they went out of business, because I haven't seem them in forever (almost 20 years), and I think I would know the name if I saw it.

My daughter is being put on an exclusion diet to check for reactions to different foods.
For two weeks she can not eat the following:
Pork
Cantaloupe
Cashews
Cottonseed
Rye
Tuna
Salmon
Black Pepper
Sesame Seeds
Soybeans
Peanuts
Lettuce
White Potatoes
I'm having a hard time coming up with foods for her to eat for lunch (at school) and dinner since cottonseed, soy, peanuts and wheat seem to be in everything. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

Instead of those horrible oblongish style cans that have to be opened with that strange key? I have sliced my finger open tonight, about three hours ago, and it's just stoped bleeding. Why is this food not availible in cans that be opened with a tin opener? It would prevent an awful lot of injuries.
Anyone else agree?

I've got a problem I hope you can help me with. I don't have much money and was thinking of making homemade sweets etc to give as Christmas presents this year. Does anyone know of any easy to make items which will keep for several weeks? Bearing in mind that some members of my family suffer from nut and coconut allergies. Any ideas would be appreciated.

i never drink coffee but for a lot of people, drinking soda like pepsi or mountain dew wakes them up, perks them up, makes them alert or hyper...soda never affects me like that. i only drink a few cans a month so it's not like my body got used to it and stopped being affected or anything. but from as far as i can remember, it has never been like a stimulant for me to stay up when i study and things...why does it affect people differently?

I know that some restaurants add MSG to supposedly enhance the flavor of the food. Has this become a standard practice in most places, or do fine dining establishments still just rely on regular salt, herbs, and spices? I have been reading about the health concerns over MSG.

Why is it no matter what receipe I use for my chocolate chip cookies, the next day they always are rock hard and I end up throwing them away. Also, why can't they have that edge crunch and soft chewy center the next day. They always taste perfect the first day and then they change. Is it something to do with an amount of sugar or floor or powder or soda I use? I don't even cook them for the full amount of time because when I do they always get hard.
