It's not just about being sincere...although that is part of it...but you also have to have something catchy, clever, humorous, unexpected, well written, etc. Your message needs to connect with the questionner...
I'm pretty new to this whole Yahoo! ANSWERS thing, but I've been around enough to realize that you can't write answers to be the "best"....becuase if you try too hard, it will be apperant (and it probably won't come across as sincere).Just keep doing what you've been doing...
I guess the only advice I can give, is to be a little more picky about the questions you choose to answer. Pick ones that you really connect with....there are millions of questions asked everyday! You're bound to connect with a bunch every day...
Lastly, have fun! I keep coming back here because I'm now addicted (especially once I got close to level 2...), but I first came here because I was really searching for something. There are a lot of people who post questions just to work on points and get to the next level, but there are also a lot of people who really want some advice....sounds like you should try to choose these types of questions....
OK, Good luck!

I looked at your answers and it is obvious to me you need to get out of categories where the answer requires you to tell your opinion, and never give people answers that they do not want to hear. Read the help section on yahoo messenger then you can answer questions concerning yahoo messenger!
also if you see a question that no one is going to answer like: Where can I find cheep rent in Pakistan?
Answer: in the news paper, and chances are you will end up having the only answer there, and when ppl are voting on the best answer and come to that one it is an easy 10 pts for you!
hope this helps!

Type out your answers in English - not SMS speak. Use proper punctuation and spelling. Preview your answers, read through them and use the spell check. Above all, make the answer meaningful and concise. Short and sweet but to the point. Good luck.

I think a lot of people ask a question that they already know the answer to. Such as personal questions about "what should I do?" or advise questions.
Its my opinion they have already made the decision, they just want to find someone that has the same idea or philosophy as them because it makes them feel better about their own personal choice.

You are on the right track.... 1 best answer is better than a bunch of stupid answers.
Keep at it, be honest and they will come.

Sometimes the truth isn't what people want to hear. Besides, you've been voted the best 4% of the time. What more do you want?????

Did you ask a question?
I missed something here.
What was the question?
Try that one again, in English.

I know it sucks sometimes. You may have to write stupid things once in a while to get picked.
