I stopped getting hangovers several years ago and I never really got them often when I overdrank in the beginning years, just major headaches and the occasional muscle ache that a few aspirin can always cure. NEVER EVER take Tylenol before bed after drinking all night or all day or whatever. The Tylenol and alcohol combo will kill your liver instantly if you take too many Tylenol. Aspirin is not so good either since it thins your blood just like alcohol already does, so it's kind of dangerous if you fall and hurt yourself and create a wound or whatever and start bleeding.

Anyway, the only thing I've heard about drinking yourself sober is drinking so much alcohol that when you wake up in the morning you are still drunk and have absolutely no signs of a hangover or what ensues after a night of drinking. Once, I took a road trip with friends to visit another friend at his college and do some heavy partying. I ended up getting so wasted that I blacked out, according to my friends, one of them brought me back to the house and babysat me (sort of), and I walked into the kitchen and next thing I knew or didn't know was that I was on the floor bleeding profusely from my forehead. My friend had no idea what happened. Coincidentally, my other friends got home from the bar at that time and they all carried me to the Emergency Room at the nearby hospital. The doctor thought I was on crack and kept asking what kind of drug I was on and they just kept saying I was really drunk. I woke up in the early morning, found myself on a stretcher bed and asked a nurse what the hell happened. She said that my friends brought me in and they took some blood and my Blood Alcohol Concentration was a .33%. Fortunately, I knew one of my friend's cell phone numbers by heart and told the nurse to call him. After about an hour, he finally came to pick me up. He had to help me walk out cuz I was still drunk. The entire 3 hour drive home I was still drunk and finally fell asleep about twenty minutes from my house.

I agree with the person that said drinking yourself sober is a myth because how is that possible?? Once there's alcohol in your system, even if you're not buzzed or drunk, you're still not sober unless you can get a blood, urine, or breathalyzer test and show 0% alcohol concentration.

Vodka has a natural chemical in it that prevents getting hangovers but you still get drunk while drinking it. It just makes the morning after a little less painful. So in a way I guess that would be a way to drink yourself sober.

Yeah, I've done this! You kind of stay away from the hard stuff and start drinking beer, but really slowly. That way you don't fall asleep but slowly get more sober as the night goes on.

you cant drink or do anything to really get yourself sober...its a myth that you can take a cold shower or drink coffee, but in the end that does absolutly nothing. the closest thing to what your asking about is drinking lots and lots of water or gatorade to make yourself throwup. as you throw up you also throw up the alcohol allowing less alcohol to get into your bloodstream, thus making you less drunk. thats the closest thing i can think of.

You drink all day, eat a lot, talk a lot and drink a glass of water with each unit of Booze. Been doing it for years. Secret of being a good party goer. Don't tell anyone.
