taste and the ingredients, once you have tried good chocolate you will never go back to hersheys. Usually a good chocolate is not milk chocolate, milk was added to chocolate in the 40's to make the cost of the chocolate go down so that it was more affordable. I am a fan of Ghiradelli. Made in Chicago, San francisco, and maybe 2 other places. Still not too expencive but anything is gonna cost more than hersheys.

The word gourmet on a label actually doesn't mean anything. It could be the worst quality and still be called gourmet. The best quality, expensive chocolate is free of additives, fillers, and artificial flavours, but you have to read the ingredients. Lindt is one of the best quality chocolate makers.

seem on the label and also you may see such issues as guar gum .xanthan gum ,oh yeah and the all common carob bean gum.all of those products is to make the chocolate milk style richer with out including more desirable fat then there all the failings used to sweeten it like corn syrup severe fructose (chemically altered)corn syrup sugar and the recent call for sugar "crystallized cane juice "and vannilan an emulsifier? chocolate milk lately is a chemistry set searching for someone to play with it ..you want chocolate milk ? blend cocoa with sugar and a splash of salt and a tablespoon of warm water to make a thick paste and upload ice chilly total milk to it and stir or shake til it truly is all mixed up and luxuriate in that

If we are talking "dark chocolate", it contains less sugar, therefore it is better for you

I had some of that dove crap before...saturated fat content of 70%. My dead cardiologist was spinning in his grave.

it's a lot smoother and is made of better quality ingrediants...like hersheys=crap...dove=great!!
