i watched gordan ramsey last night and he was shown how pigs are treated up until there death. its discusting and so sad because
they are in such cramped conditions with loads in one penn,
they cut there tails off when they are babies so they dont bite each
others but its wrong, they do it with the little piglets are awake
screaming there heads off. now i feel that we live in a country
that dont care how anyone or anything feels, we kill and slauter
animals everyday for what so we can stuff out faces,and makes us fat. is there any vegs out there? does anyone try to stop this happening?

I need to purchase a canner, and was wondering whether or not I can use a pressure canner as a hot water bath as well. I understand that they now have pressure canners that do not have rubber gaskets anymore. Anyone know about them? Also anyone have a favorite dill pickle or hot pepper recipe? Thanks

My friend is getting married and instead of a shower we are having a very casual pool party (at her request) and I have to bring a poolside snack that will not be refrigerated. Does anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to bring the standard fruit/veggie tray or chips etc.

Remeber the days when you used to go the corner shop with your pocket money and there used to be whole wall full of tubs of 1/4 sweets? Don't know about you but I used to have to give some serious thought there was that many! Now you are lucky if there is just one tub!
