If you chopped your hands I think that would be worse than them smelling like garlic! LOL, just kidding!

Try washing your hands with a small amount of cleanser like Ajax. That will remove the smell.

If I had chopped my hand, the last thing I would worry about is the smell. I might first try to control the bleeding, and get to the emergency room. If the Dr is sleepy, or exhausted, the garlic smell might wake him up, or make him more alert.

There are 2 ways to get odours off your hands, 1st is cheap and effective - use water and salt as a scrub, rinse off, smell gone. # 2 is a stainless steel soap shaped bar usually obtained from a kitchen shop. For some reason the stainless steel neutralises the odour.

Rub a cut lemon on your hands. It should neutralize the smell.

Wash your hands really good.
I heard one time that tea combats bad smell, so try soaking your hands in tea for a few minutes or something.

Lemon works, my grandma would use ice. And I think tequila works, but then your hands smell like tequila. Wait a second, that's if you were peeling shrimp and you're allergic.

I've heard rubbing your hands on something that is stainless steel will do the trick (not sure why!). I also found this article that says the same thing...

proper hand washing should do the trick

if it doesn't work try using a bit of rubbing alcohol or a hand sanitizer
