So my girlfriend is going to Atlanta in July with her family for 2 years, she's going to school there then she's coming back here to New York where I am. I'm 22, shes 19. We are willing to continue the relationship during the temporary long distance and currently thinking of ways we could visit each other periodically.

We don't have our degrees yet and everything cost money so we gotta do this carefully. I'm thinking shes going there for school for 2 years, so she'll be gone for about 22 months (August '07 - June '09). I'm thinking maybe we can take turns visiting each other, three days out of each month? Like I go see her for one weekend in Atlanta (Fri-Sat-Sun) and then she comes to NY for one weekend in September and so on.

I did some research for plane tickets, I looked on Delta since theyre based in Atlanta, the average cost for round trip NY-Atlanta ranges between $250-$300 with tax about.

So does this idea sound reasonable?

okay... i broke up with my ex to "move on with my life"! my ex's birthday is tomarrow! he asked me if would still go out with him and his family to dinner... he made it clear to me that we will not be alone at anytime (not that we know we both wouldn't mind) but i'm really tryin to get over him. he asked me to join them the night i broke up with him.... right after we both agreed to try the whole "friend" thing out! what do i do? should i go? does he really want me to spend him b-day with him after i just "broke his heart" or is he just puttin on a front infront of his family? (to make it look like we are still together)

What do ya think?

FWB situations usually end up bad-mine has. its been 6 months "together". We talk everyday and see each other 2x week. (he usually sleeps at my house cuz it's closer to his work and mine) we were discussing a friend who cheats on his girlfriend and I said it was horrible. later he asked how I would feel if he was having sex with others. I was honest and said i wouldn't like it. He reminds me that we aren't "boyfriend-girlfriend" I told him yeah i know but it would. He said i could do what i want and it wouldn't bug him, i should have fun. I felt so bad. we kept talking and then i asked "so you don't mind if I have sex with other guys?" and he said he wouldn't want to hear about it but he wouldn't mind and that he can't rule out that he will. SO I was tempted to end it right there but didn't. Its not his fault i ended up feeling this way. It sucks cuz ut was lots of fun. What is the right thing to do now? End it before i get hurt worse or wait and see if he changes his mind?

I'm trying to understand a little how women think, so... can you please take a look and corret these theories, please? I'd appreciate it. Just in case, I don't mean to lump all women together in a stereotype. Just some general thoughts:

1. Women genitalia is body inwards: Does this mean women worlds are from inwards>outwards too? That is, women care first about themselves and then about other things.

2. Women recognize/acknowledge two things: that they are physically weaker than men and that the world is maybe too violent for them. This makes them strive for security as a requirement to develop the rest of their femininity.

3. Women test men trying to control them and hoping they won't allow to be controlled.

4. Women will value a man who is manly before others but also tender with them.

Thanks. =)

I get frustrated with myself. I know what I want, what I'm capable of achieving, capable of being, but I let myself waste away. And then I get so far behind where I want to be, feel I ought to be, that the road back seems impossibly far away, so I get more frustrated and stagnent. I have an amazing gf and I want to be everything I can because of her but I get so afraid that I'll completely screw it up. Any advice for getting my swagger back? Tap back into my mojo?

Now she is telling people that she is my girlfriend. The sex is
really good and I don't want to lose it so how do I get out of
the love comment and still keep the sex.. Plus, this woman I really want now thinks I have a girlfriend and won't talk to me. How can I resolve both things??

Eventually...

Smashing plates in my student house,
Breaking things I can live without,
Tearing up work thats taken me hours,
Just for a few moments of pleasure.

Slipping, sliding, falling, crying,
The girl inside of me's grown up,
From wearing polo necks in summer,
To posing naked for a lover.

The days of a care free life are gone,
Im left alone to struggle on,
But it's like my mother said to me,
Things will work out eventually.

There was this girl who has liked me for the past year or so I suppose, and I decided I was interested in her as well, this year I decided to start talking to her, not much just a little bit, trying to be friendly, I know now, that for about the past week she doesn't like me, am I not what she expected? I haven't said anything to offend anyone, and I'm always confused. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

What do you do when you are in love with someone? What's the normal way to treat your partner? How do you handle conflict? What things do you do/say to a girl when you start to like her?

i work in a bank and i have a reputation of being a player. it's my own fault i know but the problem is that i like this girl who also works here. i'm not trying to play her in any way but i'm afraid that she'll take my past into consideration and not want anything to do with me. would you look past that?

is trust a big part of a relationship, and if trust is broken so much , and they promised alot of things they never kept, so u think trust can ever be rebuilt.
