him and i broke up 9 months ago because he felt that we were too young to commit (me 21 and him 22)....he now has a girlfriend. everytime he calls me he desperately want to know where i work at, and if i buy a new car, and if i finish school, and if i party alot, rather than asking if i have a new boyfriend and how my health doing...he has a good job and is soon graduating.....how is he gonna benefit from knowing these things......DOES HE WANT ME BACK?????.......what is he up to?

He does not want you back. Men who want a woman will do everything they can do secure that woman. This guy you are talking about is a control freak. He simply wants to know everything about you, then hang up and not think about you any more til the next time he has a whim. Do not give him the information he is asking for. In fact, don't pick up the phone any more. There are no explanations other than he is a nosy poop control freak idiot. You are not the only girl he does this to, trust me. Car ===> status
College graduate ===> status.
He is hoping that you are weak enough to break down and let his trifling behind back in your life.
That way he can get the knookie AND a social status UPGRADE.
