because when a guy calls back straight away then alot of girls will think he is desperate or they have him whipped - then not return his calls for ages and ages. Its a balance of power. women play hard to get for the same reasons - its all a game and for letting the other know that they are busy and not available all the time - they have a life -

Well sometimes guys crave attention so much that they like to see the girl "fuss" over them. Also this is another way that the guy gets you to call him back to see how much you really like him, because if you couldn't wait for him to call you. Then again if you doesn't care too much for you then he's just going to treat you like whatever. Meaning I'll call you when I feel like it.

let me tell you something i have learned from my boyfriend... guys have no sense of time unless it's something that they have planned themselves. if you ask him to call you back sometimes he will fall asleep, get busy doing something else and forget, or even just blow it off because he wants to do something else. don't get crazy and start calling him over and over, it will just irritate him, especially if he is around friends. just wait for him to call you back eventually, that's all you can do. and in the mean time go do your own thing. guys like it when they see that girls have other priorities and hobbies besides them, and you'll feel better about yourself knowing that you don't need to be completely wrapped up with a guy all the time. just wait... he will call.

Because it is to make you desire him more. As well as men I have found over the years just are not into talking on the phone. Let him be and do his man things. Unless you are suspecting otherwise!

As long as he *does* call you back, if he said he would, I wouldn't worry about it. Face it, his life does not 100% revolve around you.
On the other hand, if he doesn't call you back at all, that should be a pretty clear signal that he is not interested.

Head games make some people feel powerful and in control of, not only their own emotions, but the relationship as well.
Either that, or he's just not that into you.

same reason girls dont...beacuse they dont want you to feel that there clingy...guys jus rather give it a couple days..they will call when ther ready...but on the other hand there are guys who will say they'll call and then make up an excuse why they didnt..those are the guys you STOP talking to just beacuse if they did it this one time beleive me they will do it again...save yourself the stress

Just because someone asks you to call them back doesn't mean you are under any obligation to do so right away. Leave him a message and let him know why it is so urgent that he get in contact with you right away. Otherwise give him some space.
