why does my brother have a hard time dumping his girlfriend that is a crack addict. He has never done crack himself and has told her if she did it again that he would dump her. Well she did it, she than checked herself into detox than rehap for a 12 week program, and did fine for 3 weeks and guess what...went missing for 7 days and was living on the streets doing crack daily, phoneing a chat line and rumor has it has had some nasty meetings, asked the men for money after doing nasty deeds and 7 days later calls my brother and cries a river about going back into detox and rehab. The thing that irrates me is he's buying into it. What can I do?? He has only been in this relationship for about 7 months, and they are both in there mid/late 30's. Old enough to know better. any advise??

everytime my ex-bf is mad he breaks up with me.and he broke up with me last night..today he called me twice and its weird cus he hardly calls me anymore and hes like "you hate me huh" everytime i say i don't hate him,he always says "yess you do"..then hes like i bet you don't like me anymore..and i said i still do..but he keeps saying no you dont.. first time he broke up with me he seemed really depressed then the next day he was happy again,,hes doing the same thing this time..do you think he keeps asking me if i still like him,cus he wants to go back out??? i want to go back out with him but he keeps breaking up everytime he gets made..

My girlfriend gave me her email password like 4 months ago when we started dating. She said she gave it to me because she wanted me to be able to trust her completely. So I email her yesterday and call her and she hasn't answered since then. I decided to go into her email to see if she ever even received my email. Turns out she didn't, but I found some emails I wish I wouldn't have. They are from her ex boyfriend whom she has remained "friends" with despite knowing it bugs me. So I open it up and he's telling her that he want to get back with her and he wants her to move to his city. He also said that he forgot when he called her last because he has been calling her so much. Another thing, he asked her to send nude pics of herself to him. To this she replied that her boyfriend wouldn't like that. As far as the other stuff, she never responded. I know I should be more pissed at this guy, but isn't it her fault as well for talking to someone who only wants to get back with her?

When are you considered too old to have firsts? First boyfriend, first kiss, first...?
I'm just wondering. And please don't tell me that it really depends on how ready I am. I'm ready for that kind of commitment and I'm mature, always have been. Maybe too mature to ever really enjoy life. But that's not the issue.
As far as societal standards (not slutty, not overly-conservative), just as "average" as you can get (and yes, I understand there is no such thing as "normal"),
what is the average timing for these different "firsts"?

I am 19, in college, and chill being single. I wanted a guy, but the thing is, I am content to enjoy my life without the drama. Well fate decided to entervine and sent me a guy- be careful what you ask for- that I could never see myself with. I am not attracted to him. But he seems to be into me- he makes comments about me being funny, liking my dress style, and keep touching me. I hate that. Touching is personal, and he keeps grabbing my hand, touching my knee, mussing my hair (annoying!) and I can't stand it anymore. I don't want to hurt his feelings, I know where he is coming from, but he keeps inviting himself places, trying to sit next to me. I don't know what to do to make him understand, I cannot ever, ever be with him.

Recently I had sex with a guy knowing full well that it wouldn't lead to anything, hoping that our friendship wouldn't change. He broke up with me among other reasons because of the distance; I'm in New York; he's in Tokyo. We started dating in Tokyo, then I had to move to NY last Sep and we dated long dist. The break up was not mutual, but it was open ended, in that he did not completely rule out the possibility of getting back together once I moved back to Tokyo. I'm moving back to Tokyo to start work there in April; he doesn't know that yet. I should add that another major reason for breaking up was that he did not feel good enough for me due to his educational background, etc, a point of great frustration for me because I don't share in his opinion. He said he could not marry me because he could not make me happy, because he does not and could not have a proper, decent job. I wouldn't mind providing for him, and letting him do what he likes, but he doesn't like such a situation. Now he is being sincere, and I think this makes him even more difficult to read. i have been with my boyfriend for 2 years, and want to break up with him. butttt, i can't. He's too into me and i love him, but not IN love, so i don't want to hurt his feelings.

There is this girl that I am going out with tonight for the second time. Hopefully I be able to get her back to my place tonight and put the moves on her. Anyway, she is already telling people we are going out on her myspace. She mentioned on the phone that she wants to bring a camera tonight and take some pictures?? I've been friends with this guy for 7 years and he has told my friends that he likes me but he admits that he's too much a coward to ask me. Alot of people think that we should be together and we've been mistaken as being a couple a few times when we go out. we've been seeing each other for 2 month really passionately. We'd be together almost everyday, night, and sometimes all day. We'd have meals together consecutively.
