Singles & Dating - 20 February 2007

I recently became single again after being with my partner for 6 years,he walked out on me and our son 6 weeks ago.He has lied to me and treated me like rubbish for alot of our so called relationship.He would stay out all weekends drinking and taking drugs etc while i was left at home with our son who has learning difficulties and could be hard to manage.

He wasn`t always like this i must admit but i think we settled down to young,he was 22 and i was 20 when our son was born,so i think he just wasn`t ready to be a dad.Anyway i`m still hurting as he has moved onto someone new,she works with him and i know he cheated on me with her.

I can`t imagine being with anyone else as he was my 1st love and he has broken my heart twice.He lied when he came back to us 5 months ago saying he loved me when all along he didn`t really,i now don`t think i`ll ever be able to love anyone and truly be in love again as he has taken everything away from me,gradually over the years.

Right i asked a Q earlier sayin i lyked this guy, nd he mite ask out this ugly gal, nd i've liked him for a year...and im in highschool...you all told me to ask him out! I have a rule almost NEVER to ask out a guy, and plus did i mention he's popular! I'd get slagged for life. Apparently he liked 3 girls, narrowed it down to one, and i WAS NOT in the three, i'd b scared shhitless! Any other Ideas...?

Im in High school. This guy who i liked for a year, asked out this girl, me and my best friend were crying for the whole night when he asked her out, they broke up, and i like him more than ever! He's Mr Perfect too me, I hope you guys understand me and dont say GROW UP! or WHO cares? or GET A LIFE!
I've liked him for a year, and he has the hots for this ugly gal! He likes me in that way 20-35% out of a 100% i reckon. What do i do, i dont want to tell him to his face i like him, but he's the long term kinnda guy, and i dont want toi be waiting for another year too have him?!

My female coworker is always touching me. If she wants to get my attention in anyway she will grab me or tap me. It seems like she does this quite often. I don't see her doing this to other men in our work group nearly as much as she does to me. Is this a sign that she wants me or just likes the feel of my body? She has also dropped other hints that she may be interested but she tells me she is seeing another guy, but claims it's not serious. Does she only want sex?

Okay, for those who Don't know what's going on...Theres this guy I extreemly like and he's been Muslim for 4 years now because he was in jail 4 years ago for bad stuff and I guess while he was in there Or when he got out, he started to practice the religion, anyway I noticed him around town and worked up the guts to ask for his # and when he gave it to me, He Did say that I love girls and don't get me wrong, but I can't date and knowing me I went ahead and kept his # and gave him mines So later on the next day I called him and He didn't answer but called back the next day and ever since them we've been talking sensual over the phone and he came to my apartment 3 times and we fooled around and stuff but all of a sudden decided I wasn't good for his Spirit and decided to Stop talking to me all together and Ever since yesturday I haven't spoken to him since Wednesday of last week but Yesturday he started to talk to me again to Strike up a conversation, but I thought he was done with me?

I am asking this question only because it has been some years since I have had a serious relationship with a man. And I have recently meet someone who I think I may want to get to know better. My problem is I have problems trusting men and to save myself from worring and wondering what they may be doing I just don't allow myself to get caught up in any emotions. I keep men at a distance from me. But, now I am getting to the point where I want to be loved, held and all that good stuff. But, I still have that fear of getting hurt again. I'm nearly 40 and I keep attracting 20 somethings! I don't dress all sexy and I'm certainly not flirty. I go everywhere alone and keep to myself, pretty much, and yet the last 4 guys who've shown interest could almost be my child! I'm not OK with that! It could never last. They are in a place to start a family and settle down, I've done that already and have no interest in starting over. Granted it is a little flattering but also not!!! It's kinda creepy! Do all men really just want to grow up and marry someone that reminds them of thier mother? EEEWWWWWWW!!! Anyway, I keep being told, by the guys, that this unwillingness to date younger men is a "problem" and that I need to get over it. What do you think? Am I nuts? Or is it inapropriate for a 40 year old woman to date a 23 year old man?

There's a guy I've known for a while. His name is Dave and he's 18. Right when we met he began flirting with me. I was fliting too of course. We went to his house in Plattsmouth with my cousin,19, and her bf, 18. My cousin and her bf wnated to be alone, to do 'stuff', and me and dave went to his room. We almost did 'it' but the phone rang, Then he took two fast shots of whiskey and we made him throw up. During the rest of the night, I stayed with him to make sure he got better. My mom found out and I was supposed to see him again, but we saw each other the next day. My mom freaked out and I havent been able to talk to him since. Finally I begin to talk to my cousin again, and she tells me that Dave's gotten kicked out of his house. I wanted to see him, but myt ocusin said I was being obsessed with him. Ok-I have recently gotten out of a bad realtionship-he cheated, lied, had another kid while with me, etc. Anyway to make a long story short...the trust and confidence I have with guys is pretty much gone. I am tryin to get over my problem and know that not ALL guys are the same but even thought I want to be more confident and not so uptight its a very hard thing to just change over night. So I like this guy who I have known for a couple years but even though I feel a certain way about him its hard to act the way i want to. We talked about it and he just thinks I should try to be more open minded and relax and not be so negative and uptight about everything. I think he means well and might really like me but he's seems a little cautious b/c i'll admit I've went back to my ex-bf before when this new guy and I were kinda "talking" and I do regret it but anyway. This guy that I'd been seeing for over a year, casually/dating, had moved awhile back(about 6months ago) to his hometown to be closer to his family.He told me he still wanted to keep in contact. Which I think I've made more contact than him, but we still talk. Anyway, one of the 1st phone calls we had, he told me he had met a girl. But then he would say he still wants to go on a trip with me at the same time(that we had talked about before). I'm not sure if telling me about a girl, he was trying to make me jealous or to see how'd he react. But fast foward to lastnight...I called him, we had a good conversation like good friends(how we left as) and he told me that he's taking a break from that girl. Now why would he tell me that? Also, he mentioned again that he wants to for sure go on a hunting trip w/me because my uncle has a place out in Colorado where he can hunt. Anyway, I'm confused I guess on what he wants of me, & I'm glad he keeps in touch here & there. But what does he want?!
