Singles & Dating - 10 February 2007

It's now the year 2007 and personally I've noticed a trend of more older women married to younger guys. My next door neighbour is 5 years older then her Husband. I thought about why that was and I think it has to do with economics and better health care. 60 years ago most wives were totally financially dependent on their Husbands so they needed to marry for money as well as love. 60 years ago more women died during labour so the women needed to have children at a young age. Now with the advent of women earning the same or sometimes more then men she can choose a Husband solely based on love and how large his bank account was. Also with the US having the finest doctors in the world a women's rate of surviving childbirth has never been higher. So a 37 year old women can now have a safe childbirth. As to why some men choose to marry older women, well maybe it just old fashion love.
Anyone else noticed this growing trend and to why it's happening all over the world?

My girlfriend and I were going out for 4 months before she broke up with me for various reasons. We still talk as friends and she still says that she loves me and that we may have a chance together again. She's going to this dance with another guy that she really likes but says that she won't fall for him. What I'm asking is what should I do to win her back and should I be worried about her being with this other guy, might it grow to be more then just a dance? Please, anyone who has any decent advice, give me a good answer, no answers that won't help me get her back.

i met this brazilian guy in my country and he told me he likes me so much. He knew i'm a single parent with 2 kids. Before he went abroad, he promised not to forget me. Three years passed and we still have communication thru phone calls and internet and he told that he really loves me and wants to marry me. The problem is i dont know if i believe him cuz he just tell me those words thru internet.

I am 40 years old and only lived in western NY for the past 6 years. I did everything with my ex-wife and I don't have many friends. It is hard to meet people out there I went to a Parents With Out Partners dance I was the youngest there felt odd. This is not a joke I am very troubled with this. Thanks for your replies.

When I met him I was 16 and a virgin, He was my first and we were together for 3 years, we had some problems and broke up. He was crushed and I did some things (when we were broken up) I shouldn’t have with other people *** After 6 months we got back together when I realized I was stupid and I wanted to be with him. 3 months later I am being the best girlfriend and our relationship is great but sometimes he remembers gets sad and accuses me of cheating. I met a guy twice. He is nice and I think he likes me.
last week, he asked me to go to the cinema with him at 6pm but I couldnt go since I was busy that time. i proposed to go at 8pm but he was busy at 8!! And he said "we could do it another time".
After that, he has not contacted me for 1 week already. What should i do:
- wait for his invitation again
- invite him
- send sms to him or call , cause he always sends me sms and I dont like it.

P.s: he is not married, got no GF and busy with his manager tasks.

We've dated a couple of times. On the most recent one, she invited me back to her place after a night on the town. SHe initiated physical contact, I responded, things were progressing...then she abrubtly stopped. She asked what I was intending. We cuddled a little after that, but things had definitely come to an abrupt halt. What gives??????

I'm with ny gf fro less than a year. We are 8 yrs different. I love her a lots. However, she does not want our relationship to be known to some people, especially her best friend, whom is a guy. That guy is attached and is always msging her to go out. That guy ever ask her to be his gf before but was rejected. However, i don't understand why must he keeping asking my gf out. ok, so i hooked up with this guy and we went to our christmas ball togther, but he was trying way to hard to show off ot me, and it didn't impress me at all. and he gave me a relly bad chritmas gift. (gold and silver jerlery which i rally hate) so i broke it off. i have no fealling for him anymore. but he sits next to me in math class, and he acts like he doesn't care about school at all, but when we were going out he acted like he had to care or he would get in trouble with his parents. but he says stuff just make himself look tuff or whatever. and the other day he made a really sexit comment. that girls cant take jokes, and that we cant say a funny joke. but i wonder if he just trys to do that stuff just to impress and thinking that i will come back to him. another reason why we brok up is because i was hanging out with some frineds and one was an old
bf, and he didn't want me around the other guy. so does he still like me?

I am 5'4" and regret using steroids when I was 12-13 years old, because of it I stunted my growth. I saw a growth specialist when I was young and they told me it looked like my growth plates closed prematurely because of steriods, I was only 14 at the time. I wish the Gold's Gym manager that sold me the steroids fries in hell, he went to prison for selling them to members; I hate that guy he stunted my growth.

I am suppose to be 5'9", I think many girls don't want to hook up with me because they think they will have short kids. I am very strong, but women percieve short men can't protect them. At age 15 I was bench pressing 325 lbs. I have been drug free all my adult life, since the age of 14. If I knew as a kid what stunting my growth would do to my dating life, I wouldn't of taken steroids. There is not a day that goes by that I wish I was 12 again so I could fix my mistake.

My ex & I were discussing getting back together christmas day & told him i'd think about it as it was a very difficult relationship & i wasn't sure if he was right for me. he managed to talk me round to agree to think about it, then on boxing day i went to his & let myself in & there he was in bed with this slapper that i know. I went mad beat hre up & threw her out then smashed up his flat.
He didn't speak to me for a few weeks but is now back on my case to try again. I've told him no but he won't accept that, he doesn't understand how much he hurt me & I can't forgive him. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to handle this one?
Should I get back with him or leave him and just try to ignore his calls (which is not easy)
