ok, this girl who i met in middle school became my best friend. we have gone out16 times. we would go out and then break up because of "nerves" (jr.high) we became best friends. right before i moved we went out, and it turned out really well, but then i moved. now with the first kiss stuff, she had a "dream" that i showed up at her door with roses on her birthday, and i did, but nothing happened bc her neighbors were watching..and we were nervous. back to the point, we both said that we loved each other, first love and best friends.she and i both promised that would would wait to kiss anybody untill i came back in may to visit, since afterall we were in love. now, shes going out with this new kid that just moved to their school. he told me and my friend that he dated a bi girl and made out with her. when i told the girl that she said i was just being jealous, as shes crying on the phone. shes talking about kissing him and going back on her word, like im non existent. advice to do?

maybe im just socially retarded or something but i never know who is supposed to pay for the date, my new bf is new at the whole thing so he doesnt know that a guy should pay and i always have paid bc i freak out who should pay but now i dont really have as much money as i once did and i cant be paying for all these dates i cant afford the food a guy can eat.......i dont want to be rude and tell him to pay i also hate that feeling like the guy might freak out if i order something too expensive, i have no problem splitting the bill but how does one present it? who pays for the tip if u split it?? how do i let him no that i dont want to pay? please help im not good at this

k, i'm an 18 yr old guy. i've had ppl telling me i'm good-looking but i was nvr confident when it comes to gurls. back then, i was this joyful fella who was quite rough with d gurls. then, came this period when my dad treated my mum harshly which instigated my self-declared oath to nvr make a lady feel down ever in my life, more so my future spouse(if i ever gonna get 1). since then, i gradually change as i develope this xtreme sense of empathy for gurls. i'll feel guilty even to think bout hurting gurls emotionally with playful teasings. this in turn made me a really quiet shy guy in d presence of gurls. now, i'm this miserably lonely guy who cant get himself to b liked by any gurl. i noe i may b taking things to d xtreme but i really need u gurls' opinion on this issue of mine. is quiet, sensitive guys still in dmand these days or does gurls now like loud noisy guys?

I like this guy in my class and we used to be really good friends. We worked together on all of our projects and group- work. Then one day, he said he wanted to work with someone else on this project. He sits right behind me and we talk some, but it's not like it was. I think he even liked me before i liked him, but he doesn't even try to make conversation with me now. Like, the other day I saw him at the dance hanging out with this other girl and I was getting really jelause. He didn't even glance at me when he walked by. So I just started dating this guy, hes great so dont get me wrong, but i was inlove with this other guy for three years (he's gay now) and ive been with a few guys since then and my friends keep telling me that im comparing every guy to the one i was inlove with, and this is the first guy ive dated that made me forget the other guy and i really like him and all and i think im starting to fall inlove, and he keeps talking about our "future" together which is fine except im not sure if he hes everything i want, he has nothing about him that i dont like just not everything that i want, for ex. i like to be funny and goof of having a good time but then i also like to go to a nice restaurant and have discussions about more serious things being sophisticated at times (thats wat i loved about the other guy he was very mature) but i just dont think the new guy is like that at all! should i not waste time and brake up with him? or should i stick it out and see were it goes?

I have been in a serious relationship for three years with my boyfriend. I have found out that he has been secretly smoking behind my back. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but I am strongly opposed to cigarettes and he knew that when we first started dating. I have caught him with cigarettes at least ten times and everytime he says that he promises he will never smoke again. So he'll come home and smell like smoke, but swear that he wasn't smoking (but he obviously was). He says he lies because I will just get mad and he doesn't want to get in trouble. What should I do? I can't stand being lied to and it just keeps happening.

ive been with him just over 3 years.
basically he keeps letting me down with empty promises about moving in with me.

anyways he has helped me alot coz im currently unemployed (hopefully not for long tho) and he gives me lifts to do my food shopping and back from college. he comes round every evening after he has been to work.

i wont miss him as a boyfriend but what he does for me.

I'm 14 yrs old and I've been going out with a boy that I've known and liked since Yr 4 in primary school for a bit more than a month. He is 14 yrs old too. Lately he's started pressuring me to go further with him and do stuff like strip poker. He says that "everyone does it". I'm not ready for that sort of relationship yet, and he's making me really uncomfortable. I don't want to destory our friendship, but I don't think I can be in a relationship with him if he always wants to go further with me. I can't tell my mum because she would completely freak out. And I don't know how to make him stop or break up with him without it being really messy, painful and him ending up stalking me or something. The guys (3, 1 was Sr. prom date) that my GF (24) dated in the past will contact her once in a while. She knew them before me, but, I always tell her how much it bothers me. She said they are just friends and that she doesn't like them any more. But how would she know if these guys don't like her? I told her once you dated or kissed your friends, it's no longer a platonic friendship. And they no longer view you as just a "friend." It's like breaking-the-ice, physically. She disagree and kept saying that was in the past and she met them before me and it's not right to ignore them as friends. We have many arguments over this, but she won't promise me that she will not go hang out with them. I guess it's good that she is telling me the truth because she doesn't want to lose them as friends. But, she can't predict the future. As long as there is a opportunity for the other guys to invite her out, then I think they will make a move on her. What do you think?

In 2004 I broke up with a girl that I should have married. We dated throughout high school and a little bit in college. It ended with me wanting to explore other ponds, thinking that there was better. I was also 19 at the time.

Flash forward to today, I'm 21, I resemble a world strongman competitor (I'm not fat, just like to lift and eat) and I'm an accounting major at a University. People seem to think I'm weird and don't get my humor, and no one finds me attractive. Friends comment on how cute I am and it's amazing that I haven't found someone to date, but when it comes down to it I never seal the deal.

Has anyone had this kind of rut before? I'm not looking to get married yet, but I am looking for something serious to have fun with.
