Singles & Dating - 18 January 2007

I am a grad student and have one year left until i graduate. My boyfriend of a year and a half is graduating this may. He has applied to firms all over the country in really exciting places. I am so excited for him but they are no where near me and I still have a year to go. He is the sweetest, most considerate, and goofy (which i love!) guy I have ever been with and I see myself with him forever.

I am worried though. I am worried about how it will work with us being apart. We are much better when we are together and this distance for a year worries me. Does anyone have suggestions on ways to prevent problems from arising in a long-distance relationship? Tips? Advice? It has been so good for this year and a half - i dont want anything to hurt that!

I am a 22yr old college sr and I have been wanting to date several different black girls since I was like 15. I am attracted a lot more to them than I am white girls. I am really cool with a lot of them and have a ton more black friends and have all of my life. I have been wanting to bc I really don't see any differences really other than skin. However, everyone tells me that, because of culture, there's a lil difference. I'm not really sure that this is true. A lot of my black (guy) friends have told me that I might get dirty looks and her family may not be ok with it at first either. What do you think? I am just trying to follow my heart, live for me, and be happy.

We are good friends but have talked about being more before. Well, she invites me to a dance class then her brother needs me to come to keep him company. Last night, she started pairing people who were going. She would rather dance with anyone including a stranger but not me. She then asked who I would be comfortable dancing with. I said anyone. Later, I suggested that we dance to which she said, "I did not suggest it because of our past problem". She tried to push me off on a friend, and I said, "You really don't want to dance with me". She said, "No, I will!" Then, she told me that we could do it every week. Does she want to dance with me?

my bf is studying in France. Last time, when i chat with him, he let me know that he got a new gf who is french. several days after, his closed friend told me that my bf is making decision, stay in France or back to my country. He has only 3 months left for studying. If he stays in France, he got that girl but not-a-good carreer. If he lives in my country, he got me and a very good career. We are in love, but actually, i rarely showed him that i really love him so i think that he he is not sure about my love. Besides, i am sure that he loves me. Aright theres a girl at school who's pretty fine. We are good acquaintances, and by that i mean when we see each other we're good and friendly, and the fact we went through religious conformation together helped that out. I am five foot ten and 130 pounds. I will always get the looks but nothing more. Then I will see a tall guy (six two or more) with an inredibly short women, like five two..what gives???

i love my boyfriend, and i would never ever cheat on him. furthermore, i would never get drunk enough to have poor judgement. we are 300 miles apart, and so far, our relationship is going well since we both went out separate ways to college. he doesn't party, and most of the time stays in with his friends, and i mostly do the same, but if my friends are going to a party, i feel guilty if i go, even if i know that i won't do anything that would upset him. is it okay to go and not feel guilty? he worries, but he doesn't need to.

we are both in our late 30s and make about the same amount of money.but 5yrs ago he went thru a nasty divorce which left him in debt.the reason being is he allowed his exwife to make him feel guilty about leaving his family so he gave her everything car,bank accounts,stocks,house plus a large child support payment.i feel this was his chose(except child support) and he should have thought about this before he allowed his ex to get the better of him.if i give him the money(which i could)what stops him from giving her more when she poors on the guilt trip which she does all the time.i know this makes me sound like a b-tch but how would you feel if the ex wife gets to go on cruises(on your bfs child support money) and your bf has just enough money to go to the next state with you? this really happened!am i a bad person because i don't want to fund her next trip?

It was my first date, and i'm 20 (i know i know). Anyways, she liked me alot, but i think she was put off by my being boring around people i don't know very well (her included) and my low self-confidence (i always talked myself down with her). B4 i met her i was horribly depressed 2-3 days of the week, and it's only happened once in the month i known her.

Also she is a coworker, but we hardly share the same hours.

First and foremost I'm a very beautiful female with high self esteem but I got to admit It bothers me when I can walk around naked in front of him and he never even flinches. Prime example I said are u going to take a shower with me and he said in an aggravated voice I guess so. Before I didn't even had to ask everytime my daughter was sleep and I went to take a shower he would usually sneak in about 3 min. later. So I undressed to take my shower and here he comes, So I told him I changed my mind he wasn't needed anymore so he said o.k. in a relieved voice. I admit I've gained about 30lbs since we've met (4 years ago) but I haven't changed other than that, I still dress sexy when we go somewhere special and everyday a guy is trying to see if i'm single or not. Why has he become less interested in me?? Am I reading too much into the situation? Should I talk to him??
