I am a strong believer that kids grow up to pretty much imitate their parents or caregivers. If a parent is mean and judgmental of others and doesn't teach the child that teasing and picking on someone else is wrong then the child will grow up with the same out look on life as the parents had. My mother was always opinionated and open and honest with things, taught me morals, and how to not judge a book by it's cover. She also taught me to stick up for myself when someone else was being mean ( not in a physical manor ). I think she did a great job at being a parent, I do not nor have I ever done drugs, never been in trouble with the law, and was a honor roll student. So again I go back to the original statement at hand that it has a lot to do with the upbringing of the child.

Teenagers have WAY to much free time (trust me kiddies, this changes once you get out in the real world), and this time is spent: Watching stupid TV shows like talk shows and soap operas, playing video games, gabbing on the phone, and have run-away hormones. All of this plays a major influence on their lives, and how they interact with others. They also feel that their problems are the "worse ever," and no one else in history has possibly gone through what their going through.
Yes, I'm sure there are exceptions, but most fall into this catagory. Before someone posts that I don't have a clue what I'm talking about...I teach high school, so I see it every day.

Teenagers are learning about themselves and the world around them. They are kinda like overgrown 2 and 3 yr old kids! Unfortunately, some do not grow out of that rudeness and pass their unruley behavior along to others! Like my sister-in-law!!!

It is what they are taught at home. Cruel acting parents = cruel acting kids. Pure and simple.

Bacause thats what makes them 'cool'. So really, the people that they pick on are the ones that give them status and thats why they are that way.
