Aright theres a girl at school who's pretty fine. We are good acquaintances, and by that i mean when we see each other we're good and friendly, and the fact we went through religious conformation together helped that out. But the bottom line is, i know shes single, and theres a dance at my school in about a month. I want to get her to like me enough to ask me as friends at the least. Any suggestions?

The main thing is talking. Just keep communication going through jokes, notes, AIM, email, whatever.
And set yourself apart from other guys. Do things like open doors for her, offer to carry her books, give her rides. But don't try to hard. Respect her space and her boundaries. But don't be afraid to joke or tease her. As annoying as it is, it does indicate that you like this girl a lot, and she'll most likely pick up on it. Just don't go overboard or else you'll come off as a jerk.

Well, start off by just talking to her and strike up some conversation. Then you can get her phone number and just start hanging out. Try making her laugh and stuff when you go out. Be yourself, and be spontaneous because girls like to be surprised. After hanging out a couple times, you should ask her out to the dance and if she says yes, you can take it from there.

Ooo. dont go the route of friends, If u like her more then that. Just walk up to her and causally ask her, if she is doing anything the day of the dance. If she says that she is free. Ask her out.

I think you should just ask her...so she knows that you're interested. I would never ask a guy to a dance or anything and i would expect him to ask so you should just do it yourself...the worst she can say is no...and then you can just say...well how about i save you a dance then...no problems.

um u could try talking to her tht always helps! i dont see the problem if u get on with each other then cant u just ask her to go with you? u never no wat mite happen at ur skool dance just be yourself and dont b totally shy around her.
