Singles & Dating - 17 January 2007

I always seem to attract younger men. No matter what I do, they range from 26 to 35 and thats it. Im mid 40's and I know looking good for my age, without sounding conceited, so why is it that some men like me at this age and some like me but are embarrassed by my age, even though they fancy me?

Good afternoon. To make a long story short, I am a 22 year old female and I have been dating a 43 year old guy for about 1 1/2 months. I never thought I would find someone I liked, and who understood me after my divorce but- we found eachother and things have been GREAT. Obviously the age difference is an issue but we have so many similar interests that it doesn't really bother us at this stage.
Like I said- Things have been great. He even gave me a key to his house and we have talked about eventually moving in together but in the past few weeks he has had 3 little "freak out" episodes concerning marriage. He doesn't get angry or violent or anything but he will take something completely innocent that I said and take it as I am trying to push him into getting serious. I really do like him, He is a wonderful man but I don't move that fast!!!

So I guess my question is- Does it sound like I am doing something to trigger his reactions, or is he possibly the one thinking about getting

Here's what happened. A woman in work would always make suggestions for some innocent socializing after hours. So I would say ok. More often than not she would cancel as the time approached. One day we made plans for a movie but she cancelled that afternoon. I went golfing with the company team and at the end of golf one of the guys said he had to make a call 'cause he was going out with, yep, the woman that cancelled again. I eventually ignored her and she faded away. Would you have said something to her?

ok, i have been seeing this girl for like 2 months, we hold hands and really like eachother we have known eachother for like 5 years, so no problems with like just having met eachother. i see her most at karate tho' and her parents are kind of protective, and mine are too. as in if they knew we had kissed, we would be grounded for like a month each. i need to kiss her, and i know she wouldn't mind. but i need help getting a moment, or rather making one.

Im not the average girl. Im not very feminie. Im not masculine either. I enjoy playing basketball. working out. and watching football games. I love to play video games. I do cook and I do clean. My friends all tell me Im beautiful inside and out and I know that its true. I like to dress comfortably. I don't wear heels, and I don't wear thongs. I do attract males and females. I'm 24, supporting my 25 year old boyfriend who has lost 3 jobs in the past 8 months and isn't trying very hard to get another job (he's trying a little but blames it on the time of the year why he cant get a job). I'm about ready to break up with him but I am very much in love with him. I don't have the heart to say it to his face, is it childish to write him a note and leave it by our bed when I go to work tommarow saying he needs to get a job or I will rethink our relationship or do I need to suck it up and try to talk to him about it (I think he might get mad, not real mad just defensive). What or how should I go about telling him?

I'm a young black woman and I did not find true happiness until I met my fiancé (Chris-Jin), who is Asian. While I have had many wonderful experiences with black men, we never seem to be compatible. My soul mate was literally in arm’s reach…he sat next to me in our computer programming class. Lol

Why are you not willing to date outside of your race? You could be missing out on the chance of a lifetime. Skin color has never been an issue for me. I’m attracted to men, regardless of race.

I don't know what to do and I am so confused.
I do not know what the right decision is and why.
I have dated my bf for 6 years on and off.
Last year he dated a girl and would not come back to me. Finally he did and we moved in together.
Their relationship bothered me and eventually I found out she had been calling him and he gave her his new number.
I kicked him out and he had no where to go.
I feel like I should offer him a place to live, stay and come back because I should have handled the situation more like an adult.
We have bills together and need to worry about straightening that out.
I do not know if I want to be single, be with him, give him time and space or what.
I want to help him - maybe until he can find a place of his own.
What should I DO?

mmmkay.....I love my friends truly I do, but lately they have been acting real weird....every conversation either has to revovle around drinking, where are they going to drink, when are they going to drink, who are they going to be drinking with, or sex....they are killing me...can they NOT think of anything else to talk about...I might have to disconnect from them...which hurts b.c i've known them a long time :(... what do u think I should do?

Theres a guy I've been talking to for about 4 months. I had a bf when we met but we clicked instantly. It was crazy how into e/other we were.Since I had a bf though he started talking to other females,I couldnt say anything cause it wasnt my place. Well I've been single for 2wks now.About a wk ago we planned a date where he ended up bailing out on me at the VERY last minute and I mean I was parked in his neighborhood and everything.That was it for me so I stopped taking his calls, he would text I woudnt answer.It lasted for a wk where he was blowing up my phone with texts,calls, vmails.I finally decided to answer him & he apologized blah blah blah. I gave him another chance.Now that I gave him another chance I notice hes been talking to this one chick that I knew about way more than me, basically giving her way more attention like hes into her more.I dont like being 2nd best so why the hell did he make such a fuss to talk to me again?

My gf and i dont spend any time together anymore. We used to have lunch together but i got my schedule changed due to some mistakes in my schedule. Its like im bein neglected. idk what happened. ok...so i was at this party on new years..and there was this guy there...his name was chris..and i knew him from school..he is a year older than me so he had no clue who i was..so we started talking and "flirting" if u want to put it that way..but nothing more than playfulness, and so ive talked to him for about 3 weeks and he has said he was interested in me..and i was in him.. so then i basically devoted my life to the computer as i talked to him..and for the past week he hasnt really been writing me baq..but my friends mom had said something to him..but i mentioned it to him and he said he didnt care what she said..and so about 4 days ago..i went to his flickr and it has a pic of a girl..so i click on it thinking it could be a friend..and it says my girlfriend...sam..i was so upset. adn he hasnt wrote me baq since..so what should i do? should i ask him y he would do that to me..or what..help PLEASE!

i have been single for six months after a 2 yr relationship...and i absoluetly love it. but for some reason i compare all the new guys to my ex. i know that this is normal but the thing is, is that i have been out on dates and have had plenty of potential suitors. but for some reason i do not want to commit to just talking to one guy. and i tend to start pushing guys away. i have stopped all contact with my ex but the last time i did talk to him he ended the conversation with "who knows, if it is ment to be then it is ment to be". are these words what are making me push other guys away? i feel like i am over him but this is my first broken heart...am i truly over him?
