Singles & Dating - 1 January 2007

I'm 16 years old. I have a boyfriend. He recently told me that he "accidentally" kissed a girl, and that was the point he realized that he had major love for me. So my whole attitude was nonchalant and I was mad as well. So, me being mad I said some things like I was going to break up with him. And, I hung up in his face, he called me back "crying," talking about please dont leave him. And before I thought I loved him, well I think I do, but it's like after he told me that he wouldn't know what to do and that he'd probably kill himself if me and him were to breakup, I kind of want to back out. I'm kind of having second thoughts about this boy. I mean I've known him since I was 12, but I never heard him speak of anything like this. And, I dont know if this has any connections, but his mom is dead as well, and I wonder is that kind of tying into how he feels..

so i wrote my "girl" a letter regarding how i felt about our relationship. nothing bad, just the way i felt about me going out of the way, & how my friends do more for me than her. how everytime i want to go to and hang with her, she comes up with some excuse why not. yet turns around, & does something with her cousins, friends etc... so i was right to the point, & i have asked questions before about her on yahoo answers with an overwhelming response of "im getting played, & to move on" i also expressed concern with her saying its my fault that she failed her college classes this term. so my other women friends have more than her in their college classes, & passed fine. so when i brought that up with everything else...my response was ALL about her college & homelife, etc. with only 3 lines about us. she wrote a novel, & it had nothing to do with us, so i am thinking of just pulling the plug. am i out of line? i just dont think she has the time for us anymore, & i get the blame 4 school

He's a bit older than me and usually very, very sweet.

He gave me diamond earings and a gold and silver bracelet for Christmas, buys all meals, opens doors, fixes me coffe and breakfast in the morning...but the problem is..

When we are out and about, anyone who didn't know us, wouldn't know we are "a couple" because he hugs on and dances with other women, which really doesn't bother me, EXCEPT, he barely hugs and kisses me or flirts with me anymore.

Last night, I was hit on by soo many guys while he was playing pool (like 8 games in a row) and when I said, "I have a boyfriend" they were all, "so where is he?" I fealt like that scene in the original Dirty Dancing, where he says, "no one puts Baby in a corner".

I talked with him this morning about it and he apologized and said he was just tired and caught up in the pool playing.

Am I being too picky here??? Or was my grandma right, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"

My parents will not let me go on vacation with my boyfriend and his parents. Well im only 16 but still i would be in a different room. My parents will not listen to me. I really want to go because i never go on vacation. It is not like im a bad kid im on high honor roll and play a bunch of sports. Well if anyone has any ideas to help me i will appreciate it. i have a wonderful friend who i care for dearly. but i think the feelings i have are stronger then just friends.

i have two problems i really would like answered as they are killing me inside:

1) i feel my friend used to fancy me but i didnt realise untill she had gone off me.i knew i had liked her all along but because we got on so well i didnt know what to do. i feel that it is my fault that this happened. But doesnt everything happen for a reason?? maybe if we went out we wouldnt be together now and hence not be friends. but knowing i could of had her and cannot now is killing me

2) secondly i feel that we are not as good of friends as we used to be. she never txt's me anymore and doesnt seem to interested in what i say. how can we be good friends again??

finally, i have had quite a few crushes in my life and im only 15 but my felings for this girl will not go away. i have felt this way for months.

My boyfriend and I had been together for two years, but lately we had been having problems. He had told me that I was too attached, and I admit that I am since Im not currently working right now and also Im on winted break from college. I told him that I will try to not be so attach to him. I haven't talked to him since last week. I only called him once, but he never called me back. It has been almost one week now that we haven't seen each other. So for a week now, we haven't talked! New Year's Eve past and still no word from him. Now it's New Year's day and still nothing from him. I wanna give him a call, but I want to prove him wrong that I can stand to not talk to him. What should I do?? Is he playing games with me??

Some people have this thing that they don't want someone who shows interest in them. I'm not talking about clinginess either, just showing interest mildly is a turn-off, and they have to go after people that have no interest whatsoever.

This seems horribly wrong. I can understand not being interested in an ugly person, but not being interested in someone because they're interested in you?

I have the opposite rule. If a woman is interested in me, she's going to at least get more of a shot than disinterested woman #2. And the result is that I get more passionate, less one-sided relationships.

but perhaps I'm missing something. What do others think?

I have fallen for some one around 10 years older than me and it most likely is not good I did not want to feel like this all I wanted was a freind and now I an left confused and alone.I hate it cause I know it can not be real he is a good freind to me and i want this to all go away and still have my freind but i cant help what my heart says when he is around i know it sounds stupid i am too old to feel like this what can i do to make it go away?If it helps I am around 32 years old.

I think some guys like me, and I know at least one does, but I don't know who I like. i have liked one kid since 6th grade ( I am in 8th grade now), but last year I quit liking him. This year, I like a guy who asked me to a dance, but he hasn't said if he likes me. I know the previous one does because he told me he does. Ex broke up w/ me 3 months ago. We dated for 3 yrs. Stated he still loved me but needed some time alone to get his life in order.

We have since started talking and I have seen him a couple times.

We joke and kind of flirt like we used to. When we say good-bye he hugs me for a really long time, and kind of holds me and my hand, then kisses me on the head. He keeps trying to make plans like go to the movie, cook me dinner etc. Last time he even said "ok so its a date" after we made new plans and smiled.

However, he is also sometimes distance. Like if I call him he doesnt call me back for a day or two and so on. I messaged him on x-mas to wish him a happy holiday and he never responded. I dont get it.

Not sure how to read him. Is he still into me? or just playing me? Any thoughts?
