Where i go to school, we are all a bunch of 13-14 year olds. a lot of them like to "go out" or have "boyfriends/girlfriends" while i think it's perfectly fine to have crushes, personally, i'd rather not date because i think im too young. but i'm just curious....what do you guys think??

Cakes, you are very smart and have maturity beyond your 13/14 years. You are very smart to question "what everyone else is doing". I think 18 is a good age for a woman to think about dating selectively. Younger than that, she should be doing exactly what you are doing. In fact, here are some suggestions for you (because I think you have great potential and are capable of doing great things).
1. Groom immaculately
2. Dress nicely
3. Study harder than ever
4. Spend an hour a day in the library
5. Spend an hour a day at the gym
6. Honor your parents and your teachers
7. Get involved in a worthy school function
8. Help someone every day
9.Go to Church
10.Invite your friends to Church

i think you're too young to date or have a girlfriend/boyfriend when you are 13 and younger. thats just my opinion because if youre dating at such a young age youre not mature enough and it will not work out. well most of the time it doesnt. lol

i think 13 or 14 still too young to date
for me, after college is the right age to date

I've had gf's since 4th grade... but I didnt get to sleep w/ any of them till I was 16... Even then very few girls put out... the point is... its okay to have a bf at your age... you just shouldnt be having sex for a couple years...

Well I am getting a little older and I can't picture wanting to let my daughter date until she's 16.

i so totaly agree with you that is what happens at my school and like it is just so dumb cuz then you hear these gay stories about how such and such went are going out and then like the next day one dumps the other and rumours start that they are going to kill themsleves i mean like i really dont care(unless they where like my best-friend)it is just really pathetic and annoying

i think ages 17 + is good enough....but concentrating on studies is better for now, worry about dating later on when you're a bit older.

dont date till your 16 or u are likely to get in trouble because kids are imature

thats not as bad. i had one of those "conflicts" with an 11 year old kid (here on Yahoo!) who said that her boyfriend was Hot. what grade is that now?

like 16 when you can drive yourself on a date and your parents dont have to take you!
