Get your answer from people that have grown up but still remember. You can love someone, but you don't understand what it all means. There is no problem with really liking someone. When your older you will look back and laugh at how cute it all was. 1 out of 1000 people stay together from a childhood sweetheart.
It isn't something you really should have to worry about right now. Enjoy being young while you still can or we will see you back here in 10 years asking about how do divorce someone and is he cheating on you.

If you are less than 20, you are in lust, not love. I know you think this is different than what anyone has ever felt before and that you'll love this person forever but if you are "very young" your hormones are raging and your brain is not mature enough to make a decision like that. Unfortunately the "test" on whether you are too young or not is whether you believe me or not!!!

I think you can be in a love at a young age, but the love is immature.

When I was 14 I was deeply in love with me bf. I was convinced I would never feel so strongly about anyone else.

However, through the years I dated many men and each one that I feel in love with felt much deeper than the last.

So yes, when I was 14 I was in love, but compared to the love I feel for my bf in my twenties, the "love" from back than can not compare.

Feel what you feel, and call it whatever you like. But trust me it takes alot of time and maturity to really fall in what I now consider "love".

Yes of course it is. I fell in love with my boyfriend when I was 16 and I believe that it was a remarkably true relationship. It is just hard at this age to make it last. We broke up a few months after he went off to college becasue the distance was difficult for us and I did not want to marry the first boy I dated. To this day he remains a good friend of mine and my husbands. I am 39 now.

Yes, but I believe that is only if you have spent plenty of time with that special other(atleast a year or two) to actually no. You get to that point in the relationship where you love every little thing that the significant other does. Once you think about how much you can or can't live without it, that may be the point you realize how you much you love him.
