Singles & Dating - 11 December 2006

For the last month, I have been going back and forth with my ex. I mean she has said she loves me does not want our love to die and things of that nature... but is kicking it with this new guy. well I got a new cell phone number last week and kept my old cell as well.. Well she found out and did not want me to give her the other phone back because she wanted a way to reach me. Well today I went and gave her the phone back (and did ont give her my new number). I figured it was the best way to move on with my life since she would not let me. I mean she would call at least once a day saying how she missed me but as doing nothing to sho wit other than spending time with her new friend... so should I have kept the lines of communication open? or wsa I right to just forget about it and try to move on

I have been involved with my guy for seven years. I no longer want to marry him, no do I see us having a future. He continues to tell me how much he loves me, yet I know he sleeps with other women on occassion. He will never admit to this, yet i know it is true. My question is............Why do men get involved in relationships, pretending to be faithful. The other aspects of our relationship is good. The lying about the messing around made me do the same. Therefore my other question is........... Can we work things out? I told him no, but he seems to think yes. Or should I throw it away and start over?

i mean if I was a guy I would rather have a girl who doesnt say "wow im so fat" and "im so ugly" and "let me get some more makeup and sparkles" and "lets spend 4 hours in front of a mirror".

my crush likes both me & this other girl, lets call her judy.
well i think he likes judy only by her appearence,
but he likes me personality.

bc to be competely honest, judy doesn`t really talk @ all
& she doesn`t really have that much of an exciting personality.

but she does have the body.
so yeahh. i feel really sad,
i can`t change my appearence.
i`m really happy with how i look :)

ugh i really wish he could see that..

is there anything i can do to make myself feel better?

I like this boy. And he likes this girl that is really mean to me. Im not sure if he likes me too. Any tips on how I could act to help him like me? (I know I cant make a boy like me! They have an open relationship for about 1 yr, think he has stopped dating, only w/her since the summer but she continues to date on the side w/out him knowing. At a party we ended talking about my separation from my husband. Asked if I was ready to date b/c in car I jokingly said that's it I'm ready to kiss someone tonight for the first time in 9 years. I was sitting at booth and was laughing w/other guy. Boyfriend was on other side and had his arms up on top of the booth at one point he put his arm around my waist, pulled me closer to him then he put his hand on my butt and squeezed. I was in mid sentence so in order not to make a scene I pushed his hand and asked other guy to move, got out of booth. 40 min later, he wasn't feeling well, wanted to leave b/c he was very drunk. Sis was not ready b/c she was flirting, he slept in my car until we left. Next day he did not remember even sleeping in my car and other things. Thinking to let 1 time pass b/c of drunkiness but I'm not mad.

okay, my crush came over to work on an english project in which we were partners in.
when he walked in he saw my cat, and petted him, which i had of course, no problem with.
then he spoted my little pride and joys....my little babies...my 3 canaries, in their cage.
he stupidly stuck his finger in the cage, and one of my little canaries bit him. he screamed, and yumped back and started swearing....and he started saying they were vicious (totally not true)
and i took my canaries side.
we argued while he put on a band-aid, and so then we continued.
the next day i heard that he said my poor little birds were vicious and bloodthirsty, and attcked him, and now everyones like, SHUNNING ME!

is this stupid or what?
should i have taken his side?

I live in NYC and I only have a few close friends here. I have tried online dating but I can't stand it (it's really depressing and I believe so much more in chemistry than internet 'shopping' for dates). So, I don't have any friends that have any single guy prospects, and I work with mostly women (or gay or married men). The close friends I have here have BFs and do not want to go out to meet men with me. If a girl, in my situation, is not into the bar scene and is not into "hooking up", how the hell do I meet someone? I'm at a loss! sigh ... Thanks. :-)
