Did I do good?

Question

For the last month, I have been going back and forth with my ex. I mean she has said she loves me does not want our love to die and things of that nature... but is kicking it with this new guy. well I got a new cell phone number last week and kept my old cell as well.. Well she found out and did not want me to give her the other phone back because she wanted a way to reach me. Well today I went and gave her the phone back (and did ont give her my new number). I figured it was the best way to move on with my life since she would not let me. I mean she would call at least once a day saying how she missed me but as doing nothing to sho wit other than spending time with her new friend... so should I have kept the lines of communication open? or wsa I right to just forget about it and try to move on

I think that you were right in breaking off the ties with you ex. It sounds like she was trying to have the best of both worlds: have you around when she wanted you and have her new friend there too. That's not fair to you at all. Did she ask for your new number? That could be some kind of sign. It might be hard moving on at first, but you'll find that you're happier in the long run. Sir!....move on....sorry, but she was just keeping you hanging for insurance reasons....just in case this new guy thing doesn't work she will have ole Mr. Door Mat to fall back on....Not to mention it boosts her ego thinking so many want to be with her....You need to be done with that. Close that door so a new one can open....You deserve to be with someone that only wants you. Do this for yourself and don't look back.
