Singles & Dating - 11 December 2006

I am losing hope in ever getting a girl. I have an anxiety about asking a girl out and have never done it in my life. I can't even start a conversation with a girl, as I have another fear of embarassing myself. I am planning to not ever be with a girl, and I don't really feel like getting rid of my fear. Living alone would be better than embarassing myself. It will take too much effort and too much of my time. I will probably live in Hawaii or something and enjoy my life, alone. I don't know why everyone says it would be bad to do that. Besides, I don't want kids, and I don't want to have to listen to everything my wife says, if I had one, wants. I don't know why I have no confidence, as I am tall, well built, and I have been told by a lot of people I'm attractive. I don't know if I ever will get over my anxiety. I might as well give up, seing as I will never ask a girl out. What is my problem, or how can I fix it, if I ever wanted to?

i had this convo with my boyfriend last night and it happened today too
both he and i were on msn for about 2 hrs, but neitehr of us started talking. i always start, so i thought i'd let him. but he never did. during the conversation, i asked him why and he said "i dont wanna show how much i think about u"
later that night, i have to start the convo again. plus, he has pics of one of his ex-girlfriends as his display pic. (got me upset)
i told him to call me, and he hasnt. i went on msn, he was on, but again, didnt start talking.
what is going on? is it a guy thing or what?

when a women invites u(whom i first met) to her hotel rm where she live at night at 12am after her work. does it mean she wants love ?
so i went there, she invites me to eat an apple. then we went to sleep. i told her i didnt want sex . I was afraid that i need to pay afterwards.

I don't want to be paranoid, but at the same time I miss him. This man and I began to talk online about a month ago. We have written emails to each other everyday with the exception of a few days ago. It's been a couple of days now and still no emails. I havent had a boyfriend since my sophomore year in high school
(the last one cheated on me) And now I am a Senior. I can honestly say that I know im not ugly because I do have guys hit on me but i cant seem to find out why no one has asked me out. I was good friends with this one guy, when I suddenly realized that I really like him a lot. After that moment, I have been nervous around him since that - my voice is shaky, I dont know what to say sometimes, e tc...!!! And so i am really sad b/c it probably wont work out now. For example, I would sometimes say go here go there, that shows I'm really interested in those places. He would say ok, let's go sometime and then never mention it again. If I mention it again, he'll always say ok, let's do it. But he never mentions it first. It kinda bothers me b/c i want him to remember things that are important to me rather than i say do this and he agrees.

Is it reasonable for me to get upset about this?
