Singles & Dating - 16 November 2006

For some reason my sole purpose in life at the minute is to get a girlfriend/girls' approval. I seem to place it as no. 1 in my life plans. More than a career, money etc. So much that I feel its affecting everything in my life. I have trouble sleeping, I'm grumpier than ever at home, I snap at my mum, I forget things, I beat myself up and I did cut myself once. I seemed to have had this fantasy to do something notorious like drugs or crime. Its not fair that people would suffer because of my personal problem. Girls have rejected and ridiculed me in the past-shunned, name called, been called 'ugly'-the lot. so much to the point that its led to years of distrust and fear of them. I cannot even look at them in public for fear that they will judge me or hurt me somehow. I am just plain looking apparently. Does that affect how girls view you positively?

I have and will always be a confident person, but not arrogant. I believe that a person has to believe in themselves before you can expect other to believe in you. I have knowledge of self and have always been totally comfortable in my own skin. I go out of my way to bring out the best in those around me, but not above constructive criticism to improve myself.

How much confidence is to much in your opinion(s)???

My fiancee is extremely jealous and insecure. He assumes if I speak to another guy that I must be having sex with him. I don't know why he would think that. I have never cheated. He wants to be possessive of me and doesn't want me to work, go to school or have any male friends. I recently went back to school because I realize that one income these days is simply not good enough, and I would like to contribute (need education to get a well paying job). Although he speaks frequently with what he calls his female friends. He has been talking to his ex as well as his ex's best friend, which I do not approve of. The relationship is eroding. We seem to no longer communicate rationally, we only give each other attitude and fight. His lifestyle has changed recently and he is doing things that I simply do not approve of. I love him very much. He want a childs now, but how can I with all of this going on. I think we are both too young emotionally to be parents at this time.

Who are interested in guys that aren't too great of looking but has great personality, awesome sense of humor, sweet and romantic characteristic and above all else very considerate of others especially treats girls like a princess all the time. Most of time, i find girls interested in me but then later i realized they aren't who they say they are.....They would always pretend to like me because they like how i treat them. I know deep down, they aren't attracted to me physically but they enjoy being around me or just talking. I don't get why girls always put physical appearances as top priority. Is there actually any girls out there that really really and i mean really dont' mind physical appearances at all???

From a childhood experience, I base my self worth on if I'm loved or not. Because of this I'm always chasing guys, which leads to me getting hurt.

But I'm always telling myself I'm a whore, that I should concentrate on school and shun guys because what they've done to me. I don't know if I should keep to myself, focus on school and hope that guys will come to me or I should flirt, have fun and stick with the crowd. I'm really confused on what I should do.

My g/f and I just recently split up. The reason for it was because she has had a tough few months. Her mother passed away and her dad and brother are being shipped off over seas to serve our country. She told me it is tough for her and that she doesnt want to drag me me down with her. I respect her wishes. She told me she still loves me so much and im still head over heels for this girl. We were together for over a year and she was everything i wanted + more. I know it's tough for her and i want to give her time to cope with the situation. But will we ever be together again? I want to be his friend he has alot of friends at school both boys and girls but i figure that if im his friend he will get to know me better.
