My friend has a friend that she wants me to go out with b/c she thinks I'm lonely, I'm not, but is it a good idea to go out with him or a bad one??? I need help b/c I don't know what to do!!!!

How about you and him just hang out together. Not like bf/gf.. But as friends.. then y'all can dicide from there if you two would like to see each other as more.. But there will be a strain on you and your friend relationship if you and this guy see each other and it ends in a bad way. You need to think about that.. But why not just all of you hang out and see where it goes from there. there is nothing wrong with making friends.. friends are forever...

Hey there's nothing wrong with meeting new people. Even if you guys don't end up in a relationship you could be friends. Everything happens for a reason. Just look at it like this the more experiences you have the wiser you'll become. You can learn something from every person you meet. Go out with him and have fun even if you're not interested in pursuing anything serious.

I actually did this the other night. My friend set me up on a double date. It was her and a dude she already knew and then me and a guy I have never met. I don't think that there is anything wrong with that. It is just a chance to go out and have fun and meet new people.
All you have to watch out for is making sure your friend has the same tastes as you in men.....hehehe:)

Depends... maybe the guy they hooked you up with can't seem to have the B@lls to ask a girl out on his own... or maybe, he can't get none, so his friends go about doing the business of finding a girl that would get with that guy...
but in my opinion... if you like the guy... there's nothing wrong with that... but are you sure that he likes you too?...
also... it's not really a good idea to go out with people just like that... i mean.. let's say for example...
you might waste your first kiss on this guy... and when you meet the right guy... you might regret ever even going out with that one guy... just whatever you do... just think about it...

I think if you don't feel like dating tell your friend to back off. If you don't mind going on a date I would go for it and have fun. Just remember not to get your hopes to high up you never know how it will turn out.

Well...you never know, you might hit it off with him, and if nothing else get a new friend. Maybe you guys won't hit it off, but it never hurts to try and meet new people.
Has nothing to do with whether your lonely or not.
If you don't feel comfortable doing it, don't. But if they are your friend, I don't see them putting you in a bad situation.

I think its fine as long as you go into it with no expectations. Just go out and try to enjoy yourself, its okay if there is no love connection. It shouldn't make a difference if your friend is a real friend.

I say try it.. maybe have your friend have a "party." Then you can meet him in a controlled setting and see if he sparks any interest. If not, you are not out anything and won't have to hurt anyone's feelings. If you are interested, then maybe you can meet him for coffee somewhere.
