No, most guys arent like this. I have rode with some girls who are like that and it's really awkward.
I would suggest subtle hints. If he gets all worked up, trying bringing up a funny or light topic, to cool him down and get his mind off of it. If he yells out or something, joke with him. Say "easy tiger" or something. Try and lighten the mood!
If it continues and it really bothers you, then move on. Are you dating this guy? Does he seem to get easily angered at other things!? Maybe something to look out for!

My father and brother does the same thing. My brother is worse. They both yell at other drivers driving, give the drivers dirty looks and practically stops the car on the high way hoping the guy wants to fight! I am always embarrased by their actions but nothing you say is going to change them. My brother curses worse than my dad. We would be driving along and my brother would just see someone walking too close to the road, or a car not fast enough for him, or whatever it maybe and he would use racial slurrs and the truck or car windows would be down and he would yell it out to the top of his lungs! I tell you if your man is the same or even half as bad refuse to be with him until he promises that he will change.

Just tell him. Heck I'm a female and I used to have road rage. You can not change him. But you can tell him in a way like this. When a person yells they are stressing their bodies out. When your body is under stress it lowers your immune system and you become more susceptible to get sick. Also stress is bad for the heart. Let him knwow that you're concerned about his health. Then you will come out looking more concerned than being a nag or trying to change him.

Okay, I understand that this bothers you and maybe you should just talk to him about it but I have road rage and it's not just something you can turn off and stop doing. But, maybe when he is doing it you can bring it to his attention and it won't be as bad as it usually is. I don't know though, there are just some people out there, I don't know how they ever got a drivers license!

You can tell him outright, but it may not make any difference...apparently he's got an anger management problem and the idea that it annoys his passenger (no matter who they are) is unlikely to curb it...
Try asking him why he gets so angry...and why not just go with the flow, since that's basically what he has to do anyway? Why work oneself into a stroke over something so trivial?

they have real school classes for this, and they also have anger management classes.
please get him to go

I do it all the time. But only when I am alone. I live in a city full of old people and they piss me off. (where its a shotgun when you need one?)
When i am with my girl I behave, just so I dont have to get an earful on good behavior, but when i am with my best bud or female friends I swear my head off.
just tell him, it upsets you. Its not that big of a deal.

hahaha. I never did that during the first year of driving, but after a few more years, the other drivers can drive you up a wall, and you WANT to yell! Well, maybe not as much as your hunny-poo. Charge him a quarter everytime he does it!

Are most GUYS like that? Not all ... I'm sure there are lot's, but I know lot's of women are too. Women can be real bitches on the road (and I AM one).
Just tell him it makes you embarassed and tell him to stop or try to stay calm more when driving.

Run!!! These are called red flags.... He obviously has anger management issues. He loses control easily and the anger consumes him to the point that he is oblivious to the fact that others are around. You should be very affraid and you should leave now.
