Some of you may think this is over-rated, but its veryyyy important to me, and I know that my husband will be very happy that I saved myself just for him!!! That's all that matters! And I don't feel like I'm depriving myself of anything...I'm willing to put a hold on sex with some cute boyfriend who is nice to me, for my husband, so is in love with me and wants nothing more than to live the rest of his life with me!!!

Lol. This is kinda funny. I'm 23 too but just lost my virginity about 2 weeks ago. I agree with you that you shouldn't sleep with someone who's only after sex but the waiting after marriage thing is also very overrated. I used to think like you but then I learned that sex is an important part of marriage. Even if you love your husband but if he can't make you happy in bed, trust me its gonna be a problem so I just decided that I'll make sure that my first time will always be a happy memory, one that I could smile whenever I think about it. And it was so I'm glad.

Im a virgin male 39. Im waiting till marriage for many reasons and all of them are the right ones. was recently on a talk show for this subject lol. Girl your doing the right thing by waiting till marriage. Dont let anyone stop you from this

I was until my wedding night. Good for you! You will never regret saving yourself for marriage! I have been happily married for 3 years now. We both waited till marriage and let me tell you! He and I are alot closer than couples who didn't wait because we gave each other something very special. (We are both 24 now.)And we don't have to worry about broken hearts, STDs, un-wanted pregnancies, or jealousy of past relationships. And don't listen to people who say that you need to have sex with someone to know whether they will be good or not before you are stuck with them! Great sex is something that you learn how to have together. Trust me it is worth the wait! There are just too many selfish people out there who are only worried about pleasing themselves! Don't listen to them! You need good sound advice from a mature adult. Not horny old men, and women! It is definitely best to wait! I'm proud of you!

I'm 24 and I am still a virgin. I am waiting until marriage so I know the guy loves me and we will be together forever. Being a virgin is great you don't have to worry if you are pregnant or have a disease that you can't get rid of.

Its really commendable that your still a virgin especially in this day an age -your constraint is nothing short of a miracle. However I say this with the least judgment within me- ever heard the old saying(or well maybe something I always say) Do something with the purest of heart ,purest of motive. I say this out of a place of curiosity-scratch that concern. You said in your proclamation that you are saving yourself for your husband -out of almost his own pleasure! But I say this to you shouldn't you rather do this whole virgin thing as a self preservation exercise that is something you want to do not because you want to please your husband but rather something for yourself. Girl look around your in the free era no longer are we tied (well almost anyway) to the constraints of we've got to do something because our husband,mother ,father or society thinks it pleasing for them. I just hope you don't marry someone with a wack sex game because then your stuck (so to speak). Don't let anyone fool you, intimacy is a very important part of a marriage.
Besides just because you have sex doesn't mean your going to get pregnant if you protect yourself appropriately.

Nope I am not, and I am 22 years old. I started having sex when I was 17, and I always use my head when picking a partner as well as protection.
Good for you for standing up for what you believe is right though. If it's important for you to wait then that's a great step your taking.
