Singles & Dating - 13 November 2006

I want to be with her. She got scared about things and pulled away. We've been dating for 6 mos now, the "distance" has been there for about 3. We go out and have a great time still (just not as often as we used to). Assuming she's not cheating/looking elsewhere (which I choose to believe), how can I find out how committed she is to us (aside from asking, don't know that there's a good way to do that)? We really love each other a lot. I am just hoping for signs she still cares as much as she says. (And yes, I do stuff for her. Flowers, cards, funny, pointless texts, etc.)

Whats up, I posted this a little bit ago but after the first posts or whatever you dont get anymore so I wanted some more opinions one last time. I have girls who like me who are pretty, I’m not a doofus or ugly but I’m waiting for the right one. Some of the girls I find pretty but there are many other downfalls, and I dont shut people down without a reason, I know them all and try to get to know everyone. I'm not about getting with girls who I can’t see myself loving, I'll be 18 and haven’t done much with girls, instead of focusing my energy on girls I try to become more successful with my profession, I have done a lot with my life, just wondering what all your opinions are, I feel like I should just do my thing and let things unfold like I do, but being around so many people who are constantly trying to get with girls makes me second guess myself, get back to me AIM=AtribecalledKRS or just post. My boyfriend and I became official about 2 weekends ago. The day after I caught him in a lie about his EX...He said he lied cause it wasnt even a big deal to him...i dont trust him cause I think he is lying about where he is spending his time...it is ruining our relationship, and I must say... besides this lie...he is AMAZING...thoughtful, sweet, romantic etc...help!!!!!!

I just got out of a four year relationship. After moving away to college away from each other, I just realized that he wasn't the one I'm supposed to marry. Now I don't know where to start at to find someone. I'm kinda shy by nature, and I'm not a huge bar hopping type of person. even though we are very far away from each other i miss him really really much and i know he does to.. i miss him so much that i would think of him all day every day every second. what should i do to stop thinking so much about him while im away from him, im going to be one year away from him and i cant be thinking of him all that long i need to figure out a way cause if i dont this is going to make me fall behind at school and stuff like that. This guy I kinda like, well it seems like hes been flirting with me lately. Not too obvious though. He smiles at me, and looks (not a stare but enough for me to wonder....) at me in our math class together. Then today, me and my friend were coming up the stairs at school, and he was behind us, and these 2 fat kids were coming down the stairs. The one bigger fat kid slammed me against the wall, so, the guy that has been flirting with me punched him and yelled 'Run Jen Run!!' So I did. And he pushed me a lil bit, and even touched my butt. i live in the same neighbourhood as 3 aother boys in my school so we ride the same bus after school and walk home together and when ever this one among them sits behind me he either taps me on the shoulder and pretend he never did it...he did it today
last fri when we were walking home i was walking ahead of them then they started laughing and yell then one of the boys come up to me(the one who taps me all the time) and say john wants to talk to u.... so am like am rite here... so he goes bac and say it then john says dont mind hin hes just kidding then the one who taps me yells "HE LIKES U" And he keeps yelling it.

My parents always told me I have to date an intelligent boy, and I always have. Nice, American, intelligent boys, but it was only little relationships. So I met this guy and he's not American (he's Puerto Rican), I'm 10 times smarter, he dresses like a... well, not like how my parents like, but I love him so much and I really don't want to let go of this one because he's a real gentleman and I truely am his princess.

So if my parents believe that I could get someone more decent and more intelligent, but I believe that this guy is the one... what should I do?

What is the freaking hurry? Lots of questions on here recently having to do with "how can I tell her or him that I love them". It's usually followed with more information that lets us know that you haven't hardly ever even spoken to the object of you infatuation but yet you will to tell someone you have feelings for them, or love them. Why not ask them on a date and take it from there? Why are some on this site willing to make the "I love you" statement, but don't want to simply ask them out on a date and see what happens. Just some advice from an old dude. YOU WILL 99% OF THE TIME HUMILIATE YOURSELF yourself if you haven't even been on a date with them.
