Make yourself visible. Most people, after they get out of a relationship, tend to isolate.
I suggest that you go out and hang out in public areas. Go to the library, the coffee shop, campus grounds, etc. and just put yourself out there.
Someone that finds you interesting and cute is bound to find you if you are where you can be seen.

Bar hopping is not usually the way to find someone for a long term relationship anyway. Look in your classes, join some clubs, go to the gym, join a mixed bowling league, look at church. There are lots of nice guys around, just be there and let them know you are available.

You know what they say...the harder you look, the better the good ones hide. My advice would be to learn to enjoy your life as an individual. Once you experience that you are truely complete already and don't NEED a man, then the right one will probably come along.
I'm going through this now and never realized how peaceful it is to not "be looking". I can actually just relax and focus on all the other blessings in my life.
Good luck to you.

Well it's good you are not a bar hopper, couldn't find one there to give you a quality relationship. I would try singles dances. Or just go to the Laundromat, the single guys have a load of clothes that is just one load lol. They mix it all together. And the gocery store is good too

Well you shouldn't rush to find someone.I used to be shy too and i dint know when or how to find someone. But its kind of a good thing youre shy cuz when youre not looking for guys they are really looking at you for not being so desperate to find a guy.Let him come to you, im sure youre gonna find someone sooner or later.*

Well, I would say try to join different clubs at the college you are going to. This will help you meet people. Go to different events on campus to meet new people. Also, don't underestimate meeting someone while you are grocery shopping or whatever.

There may be some good people in bars, but you don't expect to find them there, so you usually don't.
