Singles & Dating - 5 November 2006

I'm 16, I've known this girl for a while, and we talk a lot, whether its on the phone, aim, or in person. we don't go to the same school. She was sending some mixed signals, she sounded like she liked me, so I decided to ask her to a semi-formal. We went, and had a good time, but nothing happened. maybe 2 days before i brought her, i heard rumors that my friend was going to ask her out and i heard that she sorta liked him. I had no clue wat to do. a few days after the semi, they were going out. me and her talked still, but now we arent talking too much, in fact not at all in the past week or so. i really like her, and i feel liek i can talk to her, and be myself around her, and i have little interest in other girls like i did before, i mainly like her. what do you think i should do?

One of my pretty good friends is awesome. Like seriously. he is fantastic. he plays football. he swims, he is into music, he is very into church he makes straight a's and he is hilarious. the perfct guy for me eh? but ive already dated him once before and thats how we became friends. it jsut got to weird so we both called it off...but i want him. badly and all of my other friends are also some of his greatest friends and they all say that we would be the most perfect couple. but thats the reason that we are friends...and its not a reason that we should date.and that it would be so akward for everyone if we both dated... and that they would not really apporve of it although they all know we would be perfect for eachother. i also have no classes with him so its really hard to talk to him. i only see him at lunch and we flirt and share food and everything i just can never really talk to him alone...any one have ANY advice. anything at all!?

so my gf broke up with me in march and started dating this other guy like 2 weeks later after a 2 yr relationship! I tried to get her back the first two months then i went NC . .. . ever since the beginning of july . . shes either texted, called, left a voicemail or sent and email atleast once every 2-3 weeks. . . . sometimes 2-3 times a week . . i have not answered in almost 5 months and she still is doing it . .. what does she want? and does this sound a little stalkerish to you? . . . she also is still with the guy and ive told her we cant be friends. . . .also the reason we broke up according to her was she wanted to date around and see what out there . . .it wasnt for anything bad . . . so what do u think is going on?

me and my boyfriend broke up on halloween. we break up and get back together after about 5 hours all the time. my phone tells when someone is on another line and he was but he told me it was some guy so i went to his house and the phone rung he told me it was that guy again but i heard a girl. so i went to get it and he ran from me he swore it wasnt but i know it was i got the number and called it. the girl told me he owes her some money and thats all she wanted and he says he didnt cheat. but i mean dont u think its wierd that number JUST started coming up on his phone? it doesnt anymore. did he cheat? did he think we was over so he called someone else? whats going on!?!

Okay, ex dumped me a month ago. We never argued and she dumped me because she said that she needed to figure somethings out in her life. Her father died 4 months ago and she is in therapy. When she dumped me she said she was sorry because she thinks we had really good potential, but timing sucked becasue of her. I replied that I could not be friends because my feelings were too strong for her and needed time to get over her. I recently emailed her saying that I was sorry for any discomfort I might have caused in her life and hoped that we could email and talk every once inawhile. I basically wanted her to know that I was there for her if she ever wanted to talk. But I am thinking that maybe that is not a good idea, because now I am upset rethinking about the break up. What can I do? Should I try to be her friend now, or in the future??

k, so my boyfriend gets this call from a ***** that i hate cuz her and her friends don't think we're good together (wtf), she invites him to a wedding like as her date, **** that. and I am specifically not invited!! and so he went!! **** that. he should have token a stand to these so-called friends and tell them that if i'm not invited then he's not going! BUT NOOOOOOO his ******* dumb *** went!! and he has NO clue why i might be upset!!! help me please what can i say to explain to him how hurt i am!!

I have been in a committed relationship with my boyfriend for almost 2 years. I have two wonderful daughters from a previous relationship which he is very good with. It was my oldest daughter's birthday this weekend, and my boyfriend never even gave her a card. In fact, he has never bought them anything ever, not for Christmas, their birthdays. The odd time he will take us out for supper but honestly I treat him for meals more often and quite often have him over for supper. I've always tried to look past his frugleness but after two years, I would have liked to have seen him accept my children and treat them as his own.

It is not because he doesn't have money - he use to make twice as much as I do and I still would pay for most of our meals out, groceries, etc. Now that he's gone back to school, finances may be a little tighter and I understand that, but not even a card???

I always become interested in guys who show no interest in me, but I keep pusuing them anyways stupidly. Why do I do this to myself and why don't I just move on? I hide behind the guise of "being friendly" or just "being friends" but I honestly do want more. What is wrong with me? It's really self-destructive and pointless. Can anyone relate or give advice? and I am totally not allowed to go to any boyz house and if I say I am going to a friends house, my mom has to meet the parent, and the parent has to be home, so going to a friends house and sneak out of the house to be crushes house is out of the question, what should I do, b/c he can't come to my house.
