I'm 16, I've known this girl for a while, and we talk a lot, whether its on the phone, aim, or in person. we don't go to the same school. She was sending some mixed signals, she sounded like she liked me, so I decided to ask her to a semi-formal. We went, and had a good time, but nothing happened. maybe 2 days before i brought her, i heard rumors that my friend was going to ask her out and i heard that she sorta liked him. I had no clue wat to do. a few days after the semi, they were going out. me and her talked still, but now we arent talking too much, in fact not at all in the past week or so. i really like her, and i feel liek i can talk to her, and be myself around her, and i have little interest in other girls like i did before, i mainly like her. what do you think i should do?

Forget about it. You have no other options here. He is a friend and you NEVER over step that boundary of a friends girlfriend.

If she is going out with your friend, the signals were definitely MIXED. She likes him or she wouldn't be wasting her time. She probably sees you as a friend and if she is happy with your friend, don't take it any further. Right now you just want what you can't have. The sign for you to move on is when you and her stopped talking. Plenty of fish in the sea, so don't start problems over her!

Well... if you really think you and this girl could be together for a LONG time i would go ahead and tell her how you feel and if it doesn't work out it didn't. But if this is just going to be a little short term thing let your friend have her. He deserves her and you don't want to ruin a friendship over a short term relationship with a girl do you? Just think it over. If you think you and this girl could have a VERY serious relationship for a VERY long time and that she might feel the same way you do, go ahead and tell her. Otherwise keep your mouth shut!

It's good if their not going out or not boyfriends and girlfriends but your friend will totally hate you if you butt-in their relationship just like that. Begin your move when they stop going-out. You can start by talking to her on the phone or maybe in personal like what you did. Walk to parks or places you can be alone. Give her gifts with notes. it's not the end of the world to wait, right?

Girls enjoy being worshipped by guys, even when they have boyfriends or crushes. Based on what you are telling me, I think that maybe she thought she kind of liked you, but she knows that she liked this other guy better. and if nothing happened at the semi-formal, it's pretty straight-forward that she's not interested. My advice would be stay put and just be her friend, but when they break up, you should be the nicest guy ever and welcome her into your open arms.
