Singles & Dating - 13 October 2006

I broke up with my boyfriend about 3 weeks ago, because I got suspicious of a friendship he had with a coworker. However, we had to continue living together for about 2 1/2 weeks, before I was able to move out of our shared apartment. During that time, things between us seemed to get better - even started going back to "normal" between us. I even slept with him several times, because I felt like our relationship was really getting better. But I had already decided that I thought moving out would be the best thing to do, whether or not we got back together, so my moving plans remained.
However, about 5 days before I left, I accidentally came upon emails from him to the coworker I had been suspicious of, in which he had made plans to go visit her because he "missed her face and her beautiful hair and her arms around him". She wrote back about how she missed laying on his bare chest. The worst part was that the emails had been sent just prior to his coming up to bed one night -

what do you do when the person you like has recently split up with their girlfriend but you know they are looking for another? This person isnt particularly liked by many of your male friends and you are very unsure whether they would date you even if you asked. I'm not talking about "not getting married". I'm asking if anyone out there actually chooses to stay single. That means no dating, no relationships of a romantic nature, and of course, no marriage. When they set up ma new trailer the tub had no drain...so i have been bathing in the same water for 3 weeks.....what can i do??? should i get ma shot gun and blow a hole in the bottom of the tub for better drainage???? Any advice???

I was in a nice relationship that finishe because she didn't want to work things out after a minor bump we had, I was left alone so I had to rebuild my life on my own basically, she asked me to not to contact her, I respected that. She went to hang out with other people and meet new guys (I don't know if she dated, but at least I know she went out with guys), I missed her and had a hard time recovering, but with a lot of efforts I made it and I think I am almost done. Now when the recovering is over (or almost over) and I can finally feel comfortable by myself, she started sending me emails, 2 at the moment, first to remember the good memories and how happy she was, saying thanks for all those moments, I said I hope she is doing ok and I made it very brief. Now there is another email that I don't want to read, it's like going backwards. It looks like she is trying again and didn't find someone to love out there, should I try this or what?. I have hopes of someday meeting someone nice.

I have been seeing my BF for 4 years and till a year back I thought we had complete honesty with each other till I found an archive where he was sex chatting a woman in Tawain .I was devastated since I thought our sex life was good and confronted him and he said it was a mistake and would not do it again .He did stop but just for a while.Since I have to be away from him for 3-4 months at a strech i realised he may be doing it in my absence and i kept mum but what shocked me is that now he uses another ID unknown to me and cybers with her while I am asleep upstairs.Its very insinuaiting .He removes all traces before I wake.I feel I cannot marry this man as I will not be able to trust him but on the other hand he is very generous caring and a nice man at heart though our sex life had gone down because he fulfills his desires online. I am in a dilemna as to whats the solution as I am sure he will cyber again once I am away.Should I confront him .He is a 56 year old man and I am 46

My boyfriend is against the idea of me talking with my ex bfs.. I asked him kindly to keep my past lovers as simple friends (very limited relations, like hi merry chrismas, happy thnksgiving etc.. ) he was like ok.. all right , but you tell me everything unusual that happens


Well yestedrday I was talking with my ex and before saying gooodbye all of a sudden he saidI love you .. And it sounded so sincere then when I asked him if he meant it he said we'll talk about it another day..

I wasgonna ask him to never call me anymore but he didn't give me a chance to finish what I was saying



When I told my bf about it as I promised to do he got sooooo mad at me said I gave this garbage (my ex) the possibility to disrespect me and disrespect him ..

I send a girl a phone message to meet up and catch up because we hung out a lot at a friend's wedding. It was the first time I had seen her in four months. Anyway, she sent back a message that she was going out of town to visit her family, but she apologized a lot for not being able to come. She asked me to call her back, and she said she wanted to meet up next time. She got nervous, used "um" a lot, giggled at times, apologized twice, and left a message that was 118 seconds long! She did go visit her parents. Should I try to meet her again? Does she possibly like me?

We were together for just over a year and lived together for 7 months. He broke things off after I moved out. I feel very angry toward him for hurting me that way for no good reason. I treated him like a king, and cared for his 3 controlling daughters who never liked me, being part of the reason i moved out. I met a new guy that is younger, cuter, richer, and never been married no kids. I am so scared of getting hurt again and feel unsure. I don't want to miss out on getting to know him though, he's such a gentleman and very sweet as well. Is it just too soon?

My boyfriend never follows through with anything. We have beeen dating for nearly five years. I just graduated from college and managed so save money. He has worked full time and lives at home and he hasn't saved a cent. He wants to get married, but he hasn't done anything to work towarad accomplishing that. He has a lot of expenses that make it impossible for him to move out on his own. He wants to move in with me, and I love him, but I don't know if he is the man that I need him to be. He promises to save money, clean up after himself and be responsible. He has promised to do this in the past and I keep giving him another chance. I want to believe that he will make an effort, but I have a feeling that if I stay with him, I'll be more like his mother than his lover. Any suggestions?
