Maybe because you are still unsure? I once fell for someone who kept telling me he loved me but after giving it a go, I realised that I was physically attracted but not sexually and we had a great time when we were out drinking but he really irritated me at most other times! Make sure your not just falling for one side of him (the side that loves you) like I did!
Or you could be slightly annoyed that he was right and you should be together and you should have realised earlier! (deep down somewhere- maybe?)
Might as well just tell him if you still think you love him after this, "Guess what? I think I might be getting feelings for you" That'll suprise him and wouldn't that be fun!
Xx

You are worried about the extra pressure that being a couple would put on your relationship. Being freinds is easy, you hang out when you want to. If you are too busy for a while its not a big deal, you are just friends and you'll hang again later when you have time.
Actually being in a relationship means that you have more responsibilities and needs to and for each other. This adds pressure and also puts the friendship at risk.
Take a step back and see what you want. If you really want to be with your friend you just have to relax and let it happen.

Really think through every angle of this situation- If after all of your thoughts process and you still believe you and him could have a future then Go for it!!! Write him a letter explaining to him how you feel- or as silly as this sounds....Let him know after you've had a few drinks...I know that sounds like bad advice but alcohol really calms the nerves and it may make both of you feel more comfortable! Either way be honest to him because you need to do something before it's too late... i.e. he gets married etc. and then it would turn into a repeat of that movie "My best friends wedding."

you may fear that if you tell him you have feelings for him it will change your friendship. Your obviously happy with how it is going, but, please don't use him. If you are certain how you feel then return his feelings for you and be happy. Otherwise you must stop kissing each other when 'drunk' and be honest with him in the hope that he remains your friend. You have to let him move on if he wants more and you don't.

Forget the getting drunk bit and simply tell him when sober, " I love you" when you next meet him. That's the way I did with my wife the day when we first met and it has been marvellous since.
Don't hesitate, just do it!!

At the weekend drive to the coast.
Take him to a sandy beach for a walk.
Write in the sand 'I love You'.
The rest will be easy. Isn't love gorgeous.

well he's made it pretty clear how he feels about you....you could return it by saying...."i feel the same too" i think you and he will make a lovely couple...just bite the bullet and go for it...hurry up before someone else snatches him up...you'll regret it if you don't

It's really natural to be nervous, but even though it'll be scary it'll be worth it in the end. Just be yourself - because that's who he fell in love with! Good luck! :D
