Singles & Dating - 12 October 2006

I started seeing a lovely guy about 2 months ago, he is kind and attentive, makes me smile and feel safe when I am with him. I know it is early days in the relationship but I really feel like this could go somewhere, I've known him for a few years, we used to work together. But yesterday he told me he just found out he has a 3 yr old daughter, he didn't know how I was going to react, I think it was good of him to be so honest with me, and to be honest I was more concerned about how he was coping with it, and told him I was there if he needs me. And that I will support him in whatever he decides (in regards to visiting her etc). But it's only today now that I have had some time on my own to think, I feel a little tearful. I just think it's a shame that if we settle down and have children together that it won't be the first for both of us. Am I being silly? Does anyone have any experience of a similar situation and how did you deal with it?

i've known him 4 years,these last 4 months he has been looking at me in an unuseual way.i sent'm a msg asking him if he had feelings 4 me,he didnt answer.the next time i saw him he was still looking,so i sent'm another msg asking about these looks,he also didnt answer,but when i sent asking y doesnt he answer,is it so hard?he said yes coz i'm his little sis&he's trying to act normally!!!.i took it as it is &stopped thinking about it,but i just saw him and he's looking more than ever(it's the kind of look that hurts ur stomach,or maybe just mine)should i ask again?or what do i do?

he broke up with me 2 months ago. saw him a bit during thefirst month of being apart but now have pulled out of his life coz it was hurting me. he texts me every couple of weeks just asking how i am and tellin me what he is up to and asking questions about my future. why is he doing this ivtold him i need some space.

at times i get the feeling he likes me n then he'll do something that is quite the opposite. he tells me that he is very comfortable with me n that he is himself, he also says that he has never been this comfortable with any other girl. we spend a lot of time together

if i have late evenings at work he'll come to pick me n we do a lot of things together. he still talks about other women, or how he wants to meet someone.

am so confused...... do you think he likes me?

I'm 58 and 8 years divorced after 21 years of marriage. He is divorced as well. Whenever he sees me his eyes light up and he's very attentative. At first I didn't pay it any attention, but the last time I saw him it was more noticable and I got this tingly feeling. We don't see each other a lot because he lives out of town. In my 20's I had no problem with this, but at this age I feel apprenhensive and I am not quite sure of how to really approach him or what to say to break the ice. To be honest, I'm down right afraid. He seems apprehensive as well, but one of us needs to do something. Right now we are more like two pre-teenagers bumping in to each other and afraid to look too long. For me this is crazy compared to the way I was in my younger days. If you've experienced this, can you give any suggestions? I will see him again next month. I need to be ready this time. I'd appreciate honest advice from people in my own age group, ie. 50 and above.

Why do I always lead guys on, and make them feel like they have a chance, when they don't, and then once I know I have then all in-love, i crash their hopes and "dump" them?

Whenever I say something to her but I word it wrong and it comes across the wrong way, she cracks the shits with me for about 24 hours, and then whenever she words something wrong and it comes across the wrong way, I get a tiny bit upset, try to talk to her and then she cracks the shits with me for about 24 hours. I can't bloody win, and it's breaking my heart to see her like that.. what can I do to make this girl happy? You just cant talk to her! At all without her cracking the shits!

Please no idiots telling me to break up with her, its a serious long term relationship.. no stupid comments thank you, no time wasters..
