My boyfreind just doesn't get what being in a relationship is supposed to be about. I could give so many examples, but the one that's bothering me the most is that I'm currently sick and he just doesn't have a care in the world about how I'm feeling. He left me in bed all evening and night without even so much as coming in and asking how I'm doing or offering to get me anything. He calls me from work to ask some miscellaneous question and then says "Ok..bye." No "how are you feeling?" or "Can I pick something up for you on my way home, hun?" WTF?? I feel like I could just keel over and die and he wouldn't even notice. What is it with guys like this....do they just not get it or do they just not care?

This just doesn't seem like normal behavior to me. When someone claims they love you, wouldn't it just come natually for them to care, especially in situations like this?

And how do I bring this up without looking like I'm feeling sorry for myself?

If my gf told me that she held hands with someone else and she said it was just an attraction. She did say that she was attracted to her and this girl like her. Also she was being honest with me but then again I don't get it..what does this mean and what should I do??Should I break up with her?

and then, we are going to his sister's house for christmas and I don't know if I should get her something or not and what do I get her? He said it doesn't matter, but I don't want to get something from her and then I have nothing in return. Oh, this is (obviously) our first Christmas together.

What do I do???

it was 6 1/2 yrs ago for me...and i remember it like it was yesterday........we were in high school...the tardy bell was about to ring.....we said goodbye and hugged.......when i turned around he grabbed my hand ....brought me back close to him and said "i love u"......weve been together ever since!

so how did you/they say it.....was it cute and romantic?

If you tell your mom exactly what you want for christmas and then you find it and turn it on and its exactly the one you wanted and then it says your sisters name so your sister is getting it for christmas when she didnt even ask for it! and i did!

When I was 6 I had neibhors who would make me do things to them in order for me to be able to play with them. They were the only neibhors I had and I was homeschooled so I didn't really have any friends. The kid was two years older than I was. He basically made me do oral sex and some other stuff. He seemed to kind of know what he was doing but I was still in ignorance. He still wouldn't let me play with him or his brother after I would go through this. This happenned alot until I moved the next summer. Was I molested?

I been dating my gf for over 1yr and 3months,she has a kid from a privious relationship but latetly shes been talking a lot to her ex due to the passing of his father wich i understand she knew for about 6yrs.I was not invited to the funneral or rosary due to my gf saying its not the right time for me and her to be seen by her exes family in public . I know they will always have that bond due to the kid ,but she has confess to me that he wants her back even though she says she loves me and she will never go back with him . well this morning he called around 330am asking her to come by his house that he was not feeling well emotionally so he needed to talk to some one . I talked to her before and told her if she wants to try to work things out with him i will not stand in the middle of it .she told me she loves me and she wants to be with me .Now should i be ok with whats his doing? I got the feeling he knows she will do anything for him no matter what only because his her babys father

There is this guy I work with and he always asks about how my boyfriend and I are. Today I went into my work to eat and I left my stuff on accident and I had to return to get my stuff and he smiled and goes "what are you thinking about to forget all that??" He will say my boyfriend is too "jealous" or "inattentive" (he knows my bf). He will talk in front of me and tell other guys "she already has a boyfriend" and stuff like that.

I don't know what he meant by that...

I have a dilemma, I have a friend who has an ex who has a son (from a previous girlfriend).... she recently broke up with him because he is an abusive jerk, just to keep that part short. Anyways, she tells me today that he called her last night and told her he was so drunk and high (pot) that he was laying on the floor and had to have his son bring him the phone. his son is 6 I believe.... I feel that I now have a decision to make about whether or not to call child protective services, long story short, he is a crappy father overall, and now knowing this, I feel that since nobody else feels is going to step up, I will need to be the one to do someting if I want this poor kid to get out of this situation. His mother is not the answer, she is a drug addict evidently. What would you do in a situation like this? If I call, he will accuse my friend of calling, and she will know it was me and be mad at me. in the end, I feel that his well being is more important. what to do?

When my husband asked his brother why they didnt want to have Christmas at our house again this year he said it's because his wife is allergic to our cats.
Which is a somewhat legitimate excuse except that last year we had Christmas here in our new house with all wood flooring, locked the cats up, cleaned really really well, aired out the house and when I asked my sister in law how she was doing with the allergies she insisted she was fine, that she had less problems here than in our apartment with carpet (she wasnt stuffy at all, which I can always tell she is when her cat allergies act up).
Now they dont want to have Christmas here, because of the cats. Instead, we are going to their tiny tiny condo, there is no parking (usually have to park about a mile away and have someone come pick us up) there and about 15 people to sit on one couch. I am so uncomfortable there and always end up sitting on the floor.
So my question is, should I believe the cat excuse?

I spent a lot of time lately at this guys house, we didn't do anything sexually just hung out. He just asked me to come round one day and it went from there. He was always hinting he liked me & questioned me about relationships & stuff, but he said he didn't know if he wanted a girlfriend.

When I met him a few more times, met his family & he said they loved me. He's cooked me dinner, & he seems like he respects me a lot. After he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend.

Quite a while passed & we hadn't met, just talked so I asked him if we were just friends. He said sorry he's just really stressed at the moment. He can't make comitments right now.

Now he wants to meet up again & also wants me to meet his friends. What's going on. We haven't even kissed-He did talk about it but just haven't yet. We've just held hands in public. He's 22 & never had a relationship longer than 2 months. He said he wouldn't hurt & use a girl for sex. He's at uni & very clever but smokes weed

Together 12 years - Thought things were going pretty well. He feels we were thrown into a marriage-type relationship at 19 (my family disowned me), and has never found out who he really is. He's gotten very close to a female friend of his (They've been on what looks like dates). To me, it's cheating, even if there's no sex involved. He says he wants to work it out, but then says he wants to go. I'm so tired and hurt I almost want to ask him to leave (apartment in my name). Says he shouldn't be expected to be 100% exclusive to me - we're not married - he's never promised to be. Says he's never had sex with anyone else while we've been together. It bothers me to be with him 12 years without being married or at least engaged, and I have to decide soon if I needed to end if I want children (we're 30, feel time's running out to decide). Says I'm crazy to argue (thinks it means I hate him) but want still want marriage. I don't hate him, just what he's doing. He still talks to her.
