I spent a lot of time lately at this guys house, we didn't do anything sexually just hung out. He just asked me to come round one day and it went from there. He was always hinting he liked me & questioned me about relationships & stuff, but he said he didn't know if he wanted a girlfriend.
When I met him a few more times, met his family & he said they loved me. He's cooked me dinner, & he seems like he respects me a lot. After he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend.
Quite a while passed & we hadn't met, just talked so I asked him if we were just friends. He said sorry he's just really stressed at the moment. He can't make comitments right now.
Now he wants to meet up again & also wants me to meet his friends. What's going on. We haven't even kissed-He did talk about it but just haven't yet. We've just held hands in public. He's 22 & never had a relationship longer than 2 months. He said he wouldn't hurt & use a girl for sex. He's at uni & very clever but smokes weed

You have a good friend there, in spite of his problems. Don't blow it by taking it where you *wish* it might go.
He's given you all the signs, if you're looking for a boyfriend start dating someone else. This will either change his attitude or confirm he's not interested in that way. Too often valuable relationships get pushed away because one or the other is expecting something romantic out of it.
