Is there a limit? One year, two years, 10 years, age is just a number? Half your age plus 7??

And why?

That's funny Haz! I am dating someone nearly 9 years older than me, and you'd never know! In fact, at times I think I am more mature! LOL... Before him I dated a guy a couple years older and he was waaaaay too immature for me, I was years beyond him.

That's up to each individual to decide. My personal prefeerence has always been +/- 10 yrs or less (as appropriate) but I've a girlfriend who's dating a guy 17 yrs her senior and they have a great relationship.

Personally, I question relationships where there is a generation gap. If the person you are dating is old enough to be your parent, or young enough to be your child, there's something going on besides romantic attraction.

As long as they are consenting adults (over 18) I don't have a problem with any age difference. If it was that big of a deal, then I don't think people that far off in age would even get together in the first place.

I was divorced when I was 32. I dated two different women who were ten years younger than me when I was single (yeah, I know...dirty old man) I was amazed how much ten years difference can be in a relationship. So, just speaking from my past experiences, I'd keep the difference closer, about five years.

I wouldn't date anyone the age of my children 26 and 31 because it feels like I am their mother to them inside of a girlfriend.
