My boyfreind just doesn't get what being in a relationship is supposed to be about. I could give so many examples, but the one that's bothering me the most is that I'm currently sick and he just doesn't have a care in the world about how I'm feeling. He left me in bed all evening and night without even so much as coming in and asking how I'm doing or offering to get me anything. He calls me from work to ask some miscellaneous question and then says "Ok..bye." No "how are you feeling?" or "Can I pick something up for you on my way home, hun?" WTF?? I feel like I could just keel over and die and he wouldn't even notice. What is it with guys like this....do they just not get it or do they just not care?
This just doesn't seem like normal behavior to me. When someone claims they love you, wouldn't it just come natually for them to care, especially in situations like this?
And how do I bring this up without looking like I'm feeling sorry for myself?

Wait until he is sick so he can see how it feels. Go out and party and come in late and sleep on the couch. Treat him just how he treats you!

You are expecting the guy to be a mind reader - he isn't going to know how you want to be treated when it comes to being sick or in other situations if you don't let him know.
Personally, when I'm sick - I WANT to be left alone. Everyone is different.
ASK him to bring you home some soup. ASK him to come in and sit with you a while. Don't demand, and don't just expect it.

Well.... he sounds a little like "me me me... it's all about me"... so, I wouldn't hesitate to just tell him how pissed you are... and if he doesn't "wake up" or doesn't give a crap about what you say... maybe you need to rethink having him in your life. Best of luck to you.

It's normal behavior for some one who doesn't really care about you..answer your question?. YOU NEED TO WAKE UP and realize you need a bf who cares...you can't MAKE him care.

thats very mean of him to not show you any mind while you are sick. though you should get it when you are not sick as well. some guys just dont get it.
