the deal is, is that for each merit badge i get done for Eagle Scout i get $40 from my parents (because i havent finished them in forever) and i only have 4 left (citizenship in the community, communications, personal manegment, and family life). i also get $25 every 2 weeks for all the chores i do (i do TONS and im not rich or spoiled). so an ipod vid. cost about 240 and the necklace i want to get my gf for our aniversary cost $200 (dec. is when it is) and i can pay it off over time. i have $100 in my savings now, but i dont know which i should get first. i love her very much but i also love music very much. im 15 (if it matters). so, what do i get first?

My ex-boyfriend broke up with me 6 months ago. it was really painful for me. He was always contacting me even after the break up and was telling me that maybe in the future we can get back together but he doesn't want to continue our long-distance relationship for now. It was difficult for me to know what he really wants because he was always very upset if I told him that I am going to stop all communication with him. I went to see him a month ago and it was very nice and he was with me as if we are still together but then he told me we need to move on at least for now. I was devastated. About 3 weeks ago, I told him final good bye but he called me begging me to answer 3 days later telling me it's too hard. He asked me if I didn't want to save anything and break everything by walking away and cutting all communication. Since then I have taken his words seriously and did not manage to cut all communication. But now when I ask him to talk, he gets all stressed and sounds bothered.

A few weeks ago I got an email from this girl I went to high school with. We were supposedly close, but there was always a slight competition between us. In the email she went on and on about what a mean person I was in high school and how sad and pathetic it was that I always thought I was better than her. Then she went on and on about how great her life was and how her boyfriend's a millionaire at USC and is a UFC cage fighter. She also said that my husband was ugly and that my smile looked fake (of my wedding picture that I have posted in my facebook account). Now, I'll admit that I wasn't perfect Mary Sunshine in high school, but who is? None of my other friends think of me in that way and to those that I wasn't particularly kind to, they've moved on and we're friends now. What on earth would cause this girl to write something so spiteful and hate-filled to someone she hasn't seen in five years? Should I do anything about it or just ignore it?

I simply don't get it. Gratitude and humility have made me happy no matter what my circumstances, joyful come rain or shine, but for some people close to me, they just seem never satisfied. How am I supposed to deal with that when my patience is running out.... please help?

Sometimes i think of things that my boyfriend has said in the past that have made me so jealous. Even though he's said these things so long ago, i still think of them sometimes and they freak me out. Like if he's said that he thinks other girls are pretty or when he went to a bachelor party it made me so jealous. And he knows that im extremely jealous and i hate the fact that he thinks this because i want to seem secure with myself. I even get jealous now if we go out somewhere im like 'i wonder if he thinks shes hott or her' and 'was he just looking at her? does he think shes pretty' i mean, weve been going out for 2 years now and i cant seem to get over things or not be jealous. how do i overcome jealousy and forget things he said before that drive me insane?

First of all, the abuser is long dead. Second I am seeking therapy.

My therapist suggested that I consider telling my parents what happened to me. I have not told them. It happened over 20 years ago, but it messed me up for a long time and it still hurts.
My husband thinks I should tell them because it might help me. I think that it will just make them feel guilty and upset. Let's be honest: there is nothing they can do about it now! Why make them share this pain?
My therapist says it helps some people a lot, but others not.
I will be honest though that I still resent them on some level for not protecting me when I was little, even though they were great parents and I know (rationally!) that they would have moved heaven and earth to help me had they known.

I have a great relationship with them.

Any thoughts could be help. Thank you.

Our son has decided last minute that he wanted to join 8th grade football (he has never played before) So we rushed around to get all his equipment and spent alot of money doing so. He has attended 3 practices and has not yet played in a game. He says that it hurts and it is no the sport for him. All the sudden he has decided that he wants to quit and keeps asking us if he can.
I think he should finish what he started but I am undecided I also think it will toughen him up a bit

hi im 18 and i kinda have a problem with going out atm
ever since i was 17 i kept saying when im 18 i will be able to do everything that i want but now that i am 18 i cant bear myself to do this? i will promiss my best friend to go out with him then on the day totally not want to go and either end up going unhappy or not go at all.
its upsetting me but i dunno what it is down to
when i was about 15 though my mum was very protective over me and wouldent allow me to go out with my friends i dunno if this has anything to do with it
