I understand that relationships between two become more comfortable and at ease after awhile. . . Yet, why do many (not all) women stop being so attentive of their appearance after she has 'acquired' the guy ?

Many women will not care so much how they look in front of their special guy...will begin fussing at him more...being less sweet and patient of her guy...why is this ?

Whether after several months or several years...why would your guy be any less special to the point where you don't try to focus on your appearance as much or fuss at him more. Is he any less of a 'catch' or 'jewel' just because several months or years have passed.?

In all fairness...I asked a similar question of the guys...as I really wonder about this and find this frustrating and unneccessary. A ' jewel' is a ' jewel ' to grow in value...not to be taken for granted or let ' dust ' collect on it.
.
Appreciate any thoughts or insight.

I realize that the two in the relationship become more comfortable and at ease after awhile...Yet, why after several months or years do many (not all) guys seem to have the " I've acquired her...she's not going anywhere...so now I can be less romantic, less attentive, not seeking her out so much, neglectful . . ." Why is that? Don't you guys know that is a common complaint of woman.

Of course, the initial newness does wear off...but to not treat her as a treasure anymore...Don't understand this.

And...yes, she should always treat you as a treasure also...Yet...keeping to just this topic...Why do many men fade in the attentiveness department.?

In all fairness...I've asked a simular question to women.

We have some cool things, like 1 high def tv, 3 DVR's, a laptop and 2 desktop computers, MOTO KRZR cell phones, 4 seperate phone lines, 5 cell phones, 6 ipods total (i hav 3) but we dont go on too many vacations and they OFTEN talk about how everything is so expensive and how they need more money. They also joke about how everything should be cheap and shirts should be 2 dollars. And whenever i want to buy sumthing, they say no and that it is too expensive. Are they kinda wealthy and just are obsessed w/ saving money and are amazed at the cost of living. I know for a fact that they (combined) make over 100K. Are they rich?

For example my partner is always late to things and I pride myself on being on time. I set a schedule and it's almost like he goes out of his way to make sure the schedule isn't met. While I know its not conscious on his part (or maybe it is) it is really annoying to me.

Because of his constant tardiness - we missed our plane and thus our vacation was cancelled, we were late to his best friends wedding and we are the friends that you tell to be somewhere a half an hour early bc you know they won't be on time.

I just get so annoyed, but is being late really that big of a deal. Am I just the one who needs to change and accept that as long as we are together we will be late? I find it hard to believe that he will be changing anytime soon.

Thanks!

boyfriend and my mother and I live together, he has some anger issues but never would or has done anything physical, just yells and has a short temper well actually my mother and boyfriend both have short tempers and both yell and tend to fight and disagree on alot of things, so in seeking a person to lend an ear to her my mother tells my father her side of most of the fights and how things go around here, and he paints this picture in his mind that promotes the mental feeling of wanting to inflict pain on my boyfriend and my father has just told me this, my boyfriend is depressed now and has been under alot of pressure at work and he also takes online courses to get a degree in web design and everything is getting to him. I just don't know how to change my father's mind and I don't know how to calm my boyfriend down when he blows his top please no comments that i should leave him he is a very loving man and has been a wonderful boyfriend and provider to and for me for 5 years now..ty

I'm asking because this man thinks it's not right for a man and woman sleep in the same bed together and he's got me baffled. He's not gay. He just has this stupid belief, yet has no valid explanation for it. Is giving me reason to be suspicious of him. I wanted to see what others thought of the situation. We've been together for 9 months and we've slept together at one point. He's not married or anything and I'm not either. He tells me I'm bothering him by asking to sleep with him again and I tell him that doesn't make sense. I'm trying to get him to understand that he makes me feel like there's something wrong with me when I know there isn't. We're both attractive people and he's much older than myself (he doesn't look it though). Anyway, just wanted to get some feedback from other men and women on this topic.

ALOT of **** has happened in my life this month. Not only did I lose a boyfriend, I have alot lost a bestfriend of 2 years. The bestfriend (Brandon) and I have been bestfriends for 2 years, and we dated for seven months but broke up in Nov. But we remained really close. Then I started dating this boy named Justin, justin broke my heart on valentines day bla bla bla and Brandon was still there for me. Ofocurse he hated justin cuz brandon still loved me. Then, about 2 weeks ago brandon and I were talking about getting back together, then BAM out of no where he gets a girlfriend. Ofcourse I was really mad cuz the night before that he told me he loved me. So I needed some space and didnt talk to him for a week, but now he acts like He hates my guts and we never talk. And its just SOO hard because hes the ONE person I thought woudl ALWAYS be there. I thought i was getting over this loss of Brandon, but then this morning i woke up and i feel like im going ot die without him. Is this normal?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 1/2 years. He got a new cellular phone, and he put a passcode on it, as well as a security code on it, just in case I try to log-in to his account and see his calls. He states that I snoop too much, and I shouldn't be going through his private cellular phone. However, he has done this in the past too...maybe not as much as me. How should I feel? Should I even care?

Me & my boyfriend were together for 7 years We broke up back in December because I was really irresponsible, not cooking, not cleaning, being jealous all the time for nothing, Yelling at him and not talking to him like an adult. I was always spending money on stuff that I did not need. I was not saving any money at all. My boyfriend wanted a independent woman and That I did not do. Now I have my own place and paying bills and being responsible. My boyfriend saids he just wants to be friends for now but he is out there dating other women and he saids I have a chance of getting back together. Do you feel that I have a chance? What more do I need to do to prove that I am his dream girl. We get along so well but there were times I just acted like a child. I get along so well with his family and they all look up to me. I have been coming around being around him more lately since we broke up and been cleaning and cooking but I dont know anymore. I dont know if I still have a chance. Help!!

Hoping someone can just give me some words of encouragement. I am struggling to deal with a guy i sit next to at work who i thought was interested but it hasn't worked out. He still plays mind games w/me and i ignore him. Plus another girl at work is harassing me and making my life miserable cause she is jealous of my work performance. My boss is unable to fix that cause the girl does it in subtle ways when others aren't around. I've had a relapse of bulimia which hasn't been a problem 4 me 4 8 yrs. Plus my stepdad is dying of brain cancer. i don't want to go out and meet people for fear i'll be used and played again. and i am so depressed. i am under a dr's care, taking medicine, etc., but hoping to get a word or two of encouragement from anyone out there whose been through this stuff.... thank you.

Ok what does it mean when you are having intercourse with your partner and you guys either:

Hold eye contact for 10 seconds and you still try to hold it but he then stares at the wall

Or hold eye contact through the whole thing(Do people do that)?

have a friend who I thought I was very close to, until recently when hes started ditching me for this other guy, who used to be his friend, but the two have been fighting on and off all year. I have been his friend all year, helping him whenever he needs it, being there for him CONSTANTLY and always offering my help. I haven't been a perfect friend, I've had my bad days, but I've always apologized and given my best effort to reform my behavior and be there for him. Yesterday, during a morning class, he completely ignored me the whole time and spent the entire class chatting with this other guy. I basically avoided him all day because I was very upset, and I finally decided to send him an email talking about how I feel like he doesn't appreciate me enough for what I've done. He hasn't responded yet, but I feel extremely guilty and I also feel like I was too harsh. Did I do the right thing? Should I send him another email apologizing for the first one?
Thanks!
