have a friend who I thought I was very close to, until recently when hes started ditching me for this other guy, who used to be his friend, but the two have been fighting on and off all year. I have been his friend all year, helping him whenever he needs it, being there for him CONSTANTLY and always offering my help. I haven't been a perfect friend, I've had my bad days, but I've always apologized and given my best effort to reform my behavior and be there for him. Yesterday, during a morning class, he completely ignored me the whole time and spent the entire class chatting with this other guy. I basically avoided him all day because I was very upset, and I finally decided to send him an email talking about how I feel like he doesn't appreciate me enough for what I've done. He hasn't responded yet, but I feel extremely guilty and I also feel like I was too harsh. Did I do the right thing? Should I send him another email apologizing for the first one?
Thanks!

no, i'd agree not to send another email again too because you'd be playing it too soft. he should learn to appreciate you and know that you won't always be there when there's trouble in his life after he ditches you.

if he doesn't respond to your email and continues to ignore you, you have to decide whether or not it is worth your time to continue to be his friend and support him. if he doesn't appreciate you...why should you still be there for him?

do you think something occurred the day before, or if someone said something about you to him? because it seems a little odd for him to suddenly ignore you like that. anyway, hope you'll get this fixed. good luck!

no, don't email him again. I would quit trying to get his attention altogether and eliminate this drama from your life.
