it will only end in tears if you allow it, truthfully he could get killed but if you value his relationship you should try to be optimistic

My bf isnt in the army but it is still a long distance relationship and because we live so far away we can only see eachother every 4/5 weeks. At the start you wont notice it so much as the relationship move on you will begin to miss him more and more. The distance makes the time ye have together even more special. There will be times when you wonder why you are still in the relationship (these are the nigths when you miss him so much you can sleep) but when you see him again you know why you love him so much.

So many people told me it didnt work. At times i thought they were right. But now i know if you want to make it work you can.

I havent been with my bf a life time but we have made the distance thing last 16 months and it keeps getting stronger. we live for the day we can be together and dont have to say good bye.

All il say is good luck and if you want to make it work no one can stop you.

Nothing wrong with seamen, comes down to trust, can you trust them with the stigma of a girl in every port and can they trust you when hubby is at sea.

Will be hard, but if you truly in love then you will be ok. It can actualy be beneficial to a relationship to be apart for short periods, 4 weeks is short, as abscence makes the heart grow fonder.

Girl, please! I don't know what your last question was, but just because he's in the military doesn't mean anything!

So what does that mean? That people in the military can't have relationships?

I am in the Air Force and stationed in Iraq for the next year and will be marrying my boyfriend of 5 years when I get back.

IF HE IS LEAVING YOU TO BE PART OF THE NAVY, EVEN THOUGH YOU WONT SEE HIM FOR 4 WEEKS YOU MUST THINK HE IS DOING SOMETHING THAT WILL BRING HIM A BETTER OPPORTUNITY IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

SO DONT THINK OF THE WEEKS YOU BOTH WONT SEE EACH OTHER, BUT THINK OF THE OPPORTUNITIES YOU BOTH WILL HAVE IN THE LONG RUN.

It could go either way. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. It's hard, but it could be really good if you tough it out. Just be prepared for the long deployments and know what you're getting yourself into. Good luck.
