I've needed help restarting our cable TV system and I 'm not too familiar or handy with technology...just need her help, thats all. She has been unusually tempermental and has been somewhat belligerent with me. This is not like her at all. She's been name calling me etc. I've asked her to leave and not to visit tomorrow. She's not working and has an older boyfriend shes been going with for sometime. Maybe there are problems there.
How should I handle her? She usually is so helpful and a great pal. Like a monster today!!
I'm confused and hurt.

I am still hung up on my ex of 2 years apparently eventhough I am in a relationship that is 10 times better than with my ex. My ex couldnt keep a job, had a drug problem, stole things, never showed me any affection...etc.
I moved to a diff state to be with my family and my ex and I still keep in touch and now he is claiming to be a changed man, that me moving away made him realize what mistakes he was making and now he wants me back too. I am so scared to go back to that but it crosses my mind daily. My current bf quit his job and moved here to be with me, works long hours but really shows me love and makes me happy. I really do love him but i think about all the "what if's". Has anyone out there gone thru this or similar to where you can offer me some advise?

My daughters have at least one roommate that they would like us to invite to the party, but we are not sure about doing that due to some questionable past history with him. He seems to have turned himself around from that, but still we cannot help but remember the past. What I was wondering is whether we should "bite the bullet" and invite him even though we are not entirely comfortable with that or hope that our daughters would understand our reasoning if we chose not to invite him. Since this is mostly a family and close friends type of occasion I am not sure what to do next and I have to get the invitations out within the next few days. Any reasonable advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I live in the U.S. I have a daughter that is not old enough to date (by my rules). I am interested in the opinion of other parents as to when they have allowed or will allow their child to begin dating. If you are not in the U.S., please indicate what country you are from (interesting to see if the age varies by country)

From earlier questions, it is clear that a higher than average percentage of parents do spank their children under some circumstances. At what age is your child too old for this type of punishment?

My girlfriend is acting like a flake these days!?
I've been really cool with my friend Kim for almost a year now, but she recently met this guy and she's completely dropped off the face of the earth. I mean, I haven't heard from her and when I do it's because she want's me to go somewhere with her (so she doesn't have to go alone) it has nothing to do with hanging out with me :( The funny thing is she told me that an ex friend of hers stopped talking to her for this exact same thing! So, I feel like she should know better. Why do some girls ditch their friends when they meet a guy? Then when that guy acts like an ***, they want their girlfriend around for advice and support ( by then the girl feels used and really could care less). Even when we go out, she'll ditch me to talk to some guy the whole night...didn't we arrive together? I think that is so rude! I have no problem with a girl having a relationship but don't ditch your girls. Females should remember to continue to have their own seperate lives. What do you think?

Perhaps, anything that scares me, I end up doing immediately. Like I was afraid of blood & sick people (mental & physiological), so I took up a medical course & the irony is I love being on a business field! and then I was afraid of being underwater/ on deep water, so I went snorkeling, white water rafting & tubing. Then I'm aiming to take up diving oneday & I kinda having heights phobia that I want to try rappelling or bunjee jumping.I sort of push the envelope. How about you people? (- -,)

Just a though, maybe if some of us would settle for "good enough" instead of perfection all the time in order to keep relationship going well? Maybe some of us just too demanding that we cant or forget to enjoy and remember the good times of the relationship focusing only on bad things that had happen in a past while you two was in relationship? Just curious what you guys think.
