Ye mark im a yorkshire lass ,n i remember the nugget gum.Dainty chews were toffee,what about fruit salad chews and refresher chews,n the arrow bars were a stretched out long thin chew.

the dainty, i remember it well! cost ha'penny and lasted all day! and those gobstoppers you could get! remember 'chipmunk' crisps? cost 2p i think! those were the days when you were allowed the golliwog on the jam jars remember?remember the adds for curly wurly? who was that bloke that played a schoolboy? was it him off terry and June? we used to get thru'pence for our pocket money, eeh, times have changed! I'm from teeside but have lived in Yorkshire (Leeds/Sheffield when i was (a lot!) younger

Ha! Thought there was only me in the world that remembered these. Especially the pink panther choc. There was also a bar called mint cracknel, and chewing gum that was shaped like golden nuggets which you got in a drawstring bag. Youve got to be from somewhere like Manchester to remember things like these. Dont remember dainty chews thou

we are in the north east, we used to get Highland Toffees (Dainty Chews), Mojo chews, Black Jacks, Wham Bars (a lot bigger than they are now), Fruit Salad chews, Sherbet Fountains, Dipsticks,,Opal Fruts. Most of the chews were only 1/2p each!
