To me it depends on how tight, sheer, or revealing either of the outfits are and what mood I'm in.
If I'm in a wild kinky mood, I would say a black leather outfit would be best. I especially like leather best if the outfit shows a lot of cleavage or has the push-up effect and shows a lot of boob and is also cut high on the hip with a thong back.
If I'm in a romantic mood I would prefer a sheer lace teddy where I can easily see my partner's nipples and pussy, but again with a thong or g-string back so I could admire the girl's sexy cheeks.

I would have to go with lace, but you if you really want to know what he like ask him or take him with you to pick it out, or ask him to go and pick something out he would like to see you in, you both can shop online and found out what he's would like to see you in. Remember most men who buy teddies and underwear for the their woman are buying it for themselves.
If your buying it make sure it's something you both are going to love, you have to wear it, but not for long.

You have to know what the guy likes - if you are to the point of buying lingerie for him you should know what his preferences would be. Saying that - most guys would find either sexy. Remember there is a difference in sexy & slutty or dominating - all of which can work for you really.

lace. it rather is attractive and exciting to positioned on and the feel of it rather is amazing. i'm bi/crossdress i think of it feels extra ideal to positioned on then leather-based. and on women human beings it feels solid to rub your hand down the lace. leather-based is only too dominatrix variety for me.
