i have been with jim for 5 yrs and he has been divorced for 6yrs.jim has joint custody with his ex of his 8 yr old "jen".jen loves me and i love her too.the problem is her mom hates me and treats me like a criminal/outsider.for example one time there was a issue at daycare and jim wanted to put his ex on speaker phone so i could hear and she was like NO WAY. i am not to have any contact with her school, doctor, freinds ect.not only does jim allow this to go on but his does not see this as a real problem even thru he knows this bothers me alot.his mom told me(and she agrees with me)he just does not like to fight thats why he will not say anything to her,but we fight over this all the time.he would rather fight with me than her?he told me the reason is his child,he does not want to make it difficult for her.

Recently I went home for the weekend. My sister, her boyfriend, and I went to visit our grandmother. At the house my sister sat on the couch with her boyfriend, arms intertwined, hands folded, head on shoulder, and kissed. My grandmother is very old fashioned. When we left I told my sister maybe it would be a good idea the next time they go to grandma's if they would try to refrain from showing any affection. My sister went balistic and said that it is her god given right to kiss her boyfriend (of one month) in front of whomever she wants and that because my father and his wife kiss all the time it shouldnt be an issue (they've been married almost 15 years). I told her she knows what is expected in our family and that she should show just a little more respect to the woman that raised us. Later that day my grandmother called me and was complaining about my sister's display of affection, this only varifies my thoughts on the matter. Was I out of line for advising my sis to be respectful

I wrote this just before i got passed for fostering.

In the faces of many childern,
the sadness we can see,
an unhappy life their living
yet our love is flowing free
but this they dont receive
from their so called family

To them a normal way of life,
is abuse they learn to accept,
and they do not realise ,
were the love in them is kept,
in their cold and bitter world,
young lives already wrecked.

then taken from that life,
doesnt help them with their fears,
from their innocent pure faces,
still fall the salty tears,
and this way they may feel,
for most of their young years.

Until that love they find,
their most important dream,
security we take for granted,
in their eyes now see the gleam,
not until their dreams come true,
will we see their faces beam.

If I do have a boyfriend then it's not gonna be all serious. I mean If we go anywhere it'll just probably to the movies. I've had "boyfriends" in the past and there was no problem. How come it is now? Is it because I'm more mature and older? Please help!

My little nephew 5, whom I love and adore, is acting strange, irate, and mean and throwing things and cussing at my family members.
He lives home with his mother 98% of the time, and when he comes here he used to be sweet and loving, and we took him places, bought him things and went out for fun, and give him love and attention all he needs.
Now, he says he refuses to go to church with us because he said God is bad, he doesn't want to go anywhere for fun because he said that he'll get sick, and he really is mad all the time and confused, and it's hard dealing with him. I belive there is verbal abuse and other things going on at his home.
Please help. Is this normal?

Nephew says that his mom locks him up in the room in the dark by himself when he misbehaves, and that she threatens him that she'll throw him in the trunk and no one will find him. This is what he tells me as an aunt when I tell him not to cuss or behave and he lashes out at me.

I really screwed up with the girl a like. I didn't realize at the time how strong I was coming on to her. I realize now that I was moving way to fast, and kinda freaked her out. She thought I was obsessed with her, or was trying to push her into something, and started to avoid me completely. For the last month, I backed off and didn't even try to talk to her. I just gave her space w/o me. The other night I talked to her for the first time in about a month. It was on instant messenger, and was a very brief conversation about school, however, she didn't ignore me, block me, or seem upset, which is more than I can say for a month ago. Also, I ended the conversation not her. I think I'm at least headed in the right direction. My question is, how do I keep it up w/o scaring her again? Like how often should I talk to her, Should I try talking in person yet, or give it more time? etc? Any other advice would be appreciated. I don't want to screw it up again!

I am 17 and I met a guy for the first time ever who I like that actually likes me too. We met at a party over Christmas break and hit it off right away. Since then, we have gone out every few weekends. The really weird thing is today my brother, a freshman in college, came home-and this guy was with him! He is my brother's best friend apparently and didnt know i was his sister. anyway my brother doesnt know about it yet (he knows he has a girlfriend with my name but doesnt know its me!) and neither do my parents (im not allowed to date so i had to lie to go out with him) anyway he is at my house now and its the weirdest thing ever. WHat should i do????

I've not spoken to my close female friend for 3 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over my feelings for her. She only wanted to be friends.

She's txt bck:i really do not have the energy to keep explaining things to you.I will be civil but i'm afraid i feel the close friendship is lost...........

We MET ON FRIDAY at a friends party,we spoke a lot,but she still looked hurt+uncomfortable at times.

I apologised for hurting her i.e. wanting no contact - she snaped bck saying YOU NEVER HURT ME! GOOD/BAD RESPONSE??

I asked her if she'll join us on our group roadtrips - she said YES! - A POSITIVE SIGN OF FRIENDSHIP RESTARTING???

As she left I said that hopefully/possibly see you in a few months -she replied I'll see you at the roadtrip - we said bye and she gave me a tight hug - ANOTHER POSITIVE SIGN???

She needed a hug from my mate as it was too much for her to take in!

IS THE FRIENDSHIP REALLY LOST???Why she hurt???

What are some things a woman can do to let you know that she is sexually attracted to you, while not letting it be obvious to everyone else ? Ex. A get together at a bar, and the woman doesn't want to be so open about so that everyone sees what is going on, but wants the man to know that she wants him later on !

The title is 'In the 1928 election the Nazi party won only 12 seats in the Reichstag. In January 1933 Hitler became chancellor. Why did support for the Nazi party grow during this period?' I have done the intoduction and a paragraph on the 'wall street crash' But the guideline for the next paragraph says: Weimar republic unable to provide answers -weak governments because of proportional representation -No answers -president ruled with emergency powers - people saw this as a strong solution -people turned to extreme groups: Nazis/Communists I have no idea what to write for this particular paragraph. If anyone is willing to help i would be SO SO SO thankfull. This has been on my mind for so long. And i'm finding it nearly impossible to do. Please?
