I have to serve jury duty in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if the company that I work for is obligated to pay me for the time I will be serving?? I know they(court) gives you a check at the end of the day, but I want to know if my boss is supposed to pay me as well?

I am tired of hearing people say they are just here to help. Because their not here to help anyone but themselves. I have always tried to be honestly helpful to anyone that needs my help. I believe in what goes around comes around. Am I just a fool to believe that some where out there someone is REALLY HONESTLY trying to do the same thing? Is the world so jaded that even human compassion is dead? When did we loose those days where helping someone was a good thing? We are hateful to the soldiers that are just doing their job. We shun the homless. We scream at child molessters but no one ever tells what they know or suspect. Because it's not our problem. We have hunger in our own country but we don't talk about it. We have conartists that rip people off. The old are shut up and the unwanted youth are to. People want to have what they want but no one wants to HELP anyone any more. Why have we lost that human compassion? What is left without it?

Being A fat guy. But not THE fat guy because your older and more liked "brother" outwieghs you by about 75 pounds..everytime I get close to his size he puts on more..How can I become THE fat guy and not just be "oh theres A fat guy" there is nothing good to being smaller compared to my sibling

if we left the seat up and they put it down there'd be no splashes on the seat cos it would be out of our way, they wouldnt need for us to notice the seat wasn't up..that or let us fit a urinal as well our plumbing just works different

My sister in law throws my husband (her brother) a bunch of side jobs, he does paint & body. He always does them for cheaper than he would normally charge because they're his sister's friends. Not to mention he has a disgustingly huge heart.

Today she left a message telling him to call her friend who has another job for him and told him she thinks it's time she gets something out of all the jobs he throws at him. I think she is super ghetto for saying that!

Do you think I'm just being mean about the situation?

OK....so one day my parents where gone and my friend and I asked if we could have 2 of my really close guy friends come over (when i say really close i mean like brother close)My mom said yes, but when she mentioned it to my dad he flipped out. and now im not aloud to spend the night at girlfriends house's, cant be at there house's durring the day if nobodys home, im now not able to go to anyones houses before and after school, and they can only come over when my parents get home which is at like...5. I personaly think that i should at least be able to go to my friends houses with out a parent home because i have always been able to. and now just all of a sudden its no. and i dont think i should be paying for it if my mom is the one that said yes in the first place. and i dont even see a reason why they would be doing this now.My grades are always good, iv never got and any "major" trouble and eather have my friends. im about to go into highschool im almost fifteen. what do i do?

I just hate self absorbed conceited people..........it drives me nutz!!!!!Why do some many people mostly girls think they are so much better then anyone else in this world!!!!!Looks aren't everything you know,one of these days your looks are going to fade and you are going to be all old and wrinkled.........whos' going to think you are all that then?????True beauty comes from the inside and concieted people have a very ugly heart and soul..........no one or nothing is important to them only themselves!!!!!I don't think myself any better or any worse then anyone else and i treat everyone as an equal so when i do get old and gray and my looks do fade i will still have true friends because they love me for the wonderful person i am not for my outward appearence!!!!!!!!So to all you self absorbed losers out there please grow up and learn to appreciate others more cause in the end if you don't change you will find yourself alone with the only one you love............urself!!!!!!!!!

I was taken away from my mother when I was 15. Since then I have had 2 children. They called me the problem child. I have been to 5 different high schools and have on lived in ct for 3 years and have been switched to 10 different shelters and group homes and they are threating to take my babies if I leave this group home but I'm 18 now. The place I live in ia a non profit agency and recieves 500 a month for me to live here and they are the ones who really don't want me to leave because the money is to good

he show me a book that his wife made to him,it's a lot of pictures of them,they look all happy, it really hurt me, he was all sorry but I cannot be between them. That is unfair.
