My sister in law throws my husband (her brother) a bunch of side jobs, he does paint & body. He always does them for cheaper than he would normally charge because they're his sister's friends. Not to mention he has a disgustingly huge heart.

Today she left a message telling him to call her friend who has another job for him and told him she thinks it's time she gets something out of all the jobs he throws at him. I think she is super ghetto for saying that!

Do you think I'm just being mean about the situation?

absolutely not! i wish someone would ask for money after i did all the **** they didn't want to, not to mention you said he wasn't even charging that much for the work, once he get's a little more established as dependable, resonably priced, maybe he won;t need her help to get any more jobs. and if i were u, i'd tell her straight up how ghetto she's actin', and throw alot "bitches" in the conversation, she'll back off.

Are you sure she wasn't just joking around?

What about asking her over for or taking her out to dinner? I think that would be a kind enough gesture. After all she is recommending your husband for jobs that he wouldn't have if she didn't say anything and he is making extra money because of it.

I always say don't mix money and family. It always ends in conflict.

WELL,I'M GUESSING PART OF HER REALLY MEANT THAT. HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A WHOLE LOT. JUST A FAIR %%%%%%%%.THAT WAY SHE KNOWS THAT YOU REALLY APPRECIATE IT.AND SHE DOES NOT MIND HELPING YOU IN THE FUTURE. RIGHT.
